This apartment hotel is set in the popular health and winter sports resort of Oberwiesenthal in the Ore Mountains. Fichtelberg Steam Railway (Cranztahl-Oberwiesenthal)
* Daily steam train trips to the highest town in Germany
The most scenic way to travel to the upper Erzgebirge region is on the Fichtelberg Steam Railway.
Since 1897, it has been steaming along the narrow-gauge tracks from Cranzahl
to the health resort town of Oberwiesenthal. You can experience the beauty
of the Erzgebirge landscape during this comfortable journey every day, all year
round. Look out the window as dense spruce forests, green mountain meadows
and little mountain villages pass by. During the 1 hour long journey through the
mountains and valleys, the Fichtelberg line climbs around 240 metres. Perhaps
the best place to experience a bit of railway nostalgia is the mighty, 110 m
long, 23 m high, Hüttenbach steel trestle viaduct, just before you reach Ober-
wiesenthal station. Keen hikers can complete their trip with a walk along the
tourist train adventure path (Erlebnispfad Bimmelbahn), making a total journey
length of 21 km.

Entdecke Europas größtes Natur Felsenlabyrinth
Willkommen im größten Natur Felsenlabyrinth Europas hier in Bayern. Das Felsenlabyrinth ist ein Felsenmeer aus Granitblöcken mit Außmaßen von mehreren Metern und Teil das Naturschutzgebietes bei Wunsiedel. Die gut gerundeten Formen der einzelnen Blöcke entstanden durch Wollsackverwitterung im tropischen, feuchtwarmen Klima des Tertiärs. Erosionsbedingt wurden sie im Lauf der Zeit herauspräpariert, in ihrer Lage instabil und begannen sich zu verlagern. Daraus ergaben sich die wildromantischen Wege durch enge Spalten und steile Treppen. Ab dem Kassenhäuschen Wanderweg Markierungen Aufstieg blauer Pfeil, roter Pfeil der Rückweg. Gelber Pfeil ein schöner Nebenweg. Start und Ziel der Wanderparkplatz (Gebührenpflichtig) an der Luisenburg bei Wunsiedel. Der Tag begann mit leichtem Nieselregen, somit war mein Begleiter der Regenschirm bei der Bergauftour. Meine Bildergalerie beginnt im Gipfelbereich beim Gipfelkreuz, ab da blieb es trocken und die Sonne spitzte immer mal durch. Die Wandertour durch das Felsenlabyrinth ist ein tolles Erlebnis, Eintrittspreise für Erwachsene 4,00 €. Nach vorheriger Anmeldung, werden auch Führungen angeboten. German trains running along the Rhine River (extended version)
These are German trains running along the Rhine River between Rudesheim and Koblenz in Germany. I discovered some extra footage after I posted the initial video with this same name. This video shows, as do others, that German trains generally run way more frequently than U.S. trains and for freight trains, are way shorter than U.S. freight trains. The date of the footage is June 30, 2016.
