Fuente de Piedra is a town and municipality in the province of Málaga, part of the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. The municipality is located approximately 19 kilometers from Antequera and 73 km from the provincial capital of Málaga. It is located within the Antequera judicial district as well. The small town is based in a dry basin amongst the Southern Spanish mountains and is most well known for the local Laguna de Fuente de Piedra, home to one of the largest populations of flamingoes in Europe. This is represented in the town by the summer celebration of the festival of ringing the Flamingo.

  • 1. El Caminito Del Rey, El Chorro El Chorro
    El Caminito del Rey is a walkway, pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro, near Ardales in the province of Málaga, Spain. The name derives from the original name of Camino del Rey , abbreviated locally to el caminito. The walkway had fallen into disrepair and was partially closed for over a decade. After four years of extensive repairs and renovations, the walkway re-opened in 2015. It has been known in the past as the world's most dangerous walkway following five deaths in 1999 and 2000.
