Hemiksem is a municipality located in the Belgian province of Antwerp. The municipality only comprises the town of Hemiksem proper. On January 1, 2010 Hemiksem had a total population of 10,166. The total area is 5.44 km² which gives a population density of 1,868 inhabitants per km². It is renowned in Flanders for its Casa Blanca festival, witch at its peak had more than 80.000 visitors over three days.

The Musée Hergé, or Hergé Museum, is a museum in Belgium dedicated to the life and work of the Belgian cartoonist Georges Remi , who wrote under the pen name Hergé, creator of the series of comic albums, The Adventures of Tintin. The museum is located in the town of Louvain-la-Neuve in Wallonia to the south of Brussels at the address, Rue Labrador 26, Tintin's first home in the books. It was designed by the French architect Christian de Portzamparc, with interiors designed by cartoonist Joost Swarte. The first stone was laid May 2007 during the centenary of Hergé's birth and it opened in June 2009. It consists of three floors with a total of nine exhibition rooms, and a café, museum shop and mini cinema.

Toeristisch België - Watervallen van Coo

De watervallen van Coo, in de rivier de Amblève, worden met een hoogte van 15 meter vaak als de hoogste watervallen van België beschouwd. De toeristische dienst van de moedergemeente Stavelot geeft 13 meter aan. De hoogste waterval van België is echter de waterval van Reinhardstein in de vallei van de Warche. Deze waterval is zelfs 60 meter hoog.

Kasteel van Mesen Belgie

Dit is een kleine fotoreportage van ons bezoekje aan het mooie verlaten Kasteel van Mesen in Lede (Belgie).
Het is gebouwd rond 800, en staat leeg sinds de jaren 60 of 70, en is inmiddels door de natuur overgenomen.
