Hopland is a census-designated place in Mendocino County, California. It is located on the west bank of the Russian River 13 miles south-southeast of Ukiah, at an elevation of 502 feet . The population was 756 at the 2010 census. Hopland is a small town of fewer than 800 people located at the start of the Redwoods of Northern California. It is about two hours drive along U.S. Route 101 north of San Francisco, and a 30-minute drive along State Route 175 to California's largest natural lake Clear Lake. 1. Armstrong Redwood State Reserve Guerneville
Armstrong Redwoods State Natural Reserve is a state park of California in the United States established to preserve 805 acres of coast redwoods . The reserve is located in Sonoma County, just north of Guerneville. The reserve is in a temperate rainforest. The climate is mild and wet. The park receives an average of 55 inches of rainfall per year, almost all between September and June. Abundant fog during the summer months helps to maintain the moist conditions required by the coast redwoods.

The tower called 'The Excalibur' is the world's tallest climbing wall. Located in Groningen, The Netherlands, the vertical structure stands 121 feet high.

Climbing is a popular hobby among adrenaline junkies. The tower called 'The Excalibur' is the world's tallest climbing wall.

Located in Groningen, The Netherlands, the vertical structure stands 121 feet high. However, the most notable aspect is a bend in the design. From a distance, it appears as though the tower is tipping over.

The curve tips 36 feet away from the base, serving as an overhang. That aspect replicates the grueling twists of climbing a real peak.

The free-standing Excalibur was built in 2004 at a climb center. An employee at the facility stated The wall offers a unique experience for anyone interested in climbing and doesn't want to travel too far. The routes are of varying difficulty so beginners can climb on it too. But don't expect to reach the top on your very first time!

The outdoor tower is strategically set among the flat, picturesque countryside, which means adventure seekers can take in the beautiful views while scaling the structure.
