ADRESS :-
Thottikallu is a place near Bangalore off the Kanakapura road which is famous for a falls called Thottikallu falls, more popularly known as TK falls. It is also known as 'SwarnaMukhi' water falls. SwarnaMukhi translates as 'Golden-Faced'. The route at Kagalpura (Kaggalipura) off the Bangalore - Kanakapura road will lead to a place called Byalemaradadoddi, from where a mud road leads to the falls. The place also has a small shrine.
There will not be much water in summer and hence better to visit in or just after monsoon.
The place is about one hour from Kempegowda Bus Terminal. The falls is a few km further away from the Art of Living Ashram.
This venue is a great place to for trekking and mountain hiking and just to a spend your day away from hustle and bustle of the city. It is preferable that you go to this place in two wheeler because the roads become very narrow when you are almost nearing the place. There is also a parking charge for 2 wheelers and 4 wheelers just outside the shrine, you have to park your vehicle and then start walking towards the falls
Now a lots of residential projects are coming up near TK falls. This falls is slowly gaining interest in South Bangalore. A lot of biking expeditions are conducted to this place. little away from Bangalore one can enjoy greenery..
This place is also littered with alcohol bottles and gutka packets. Visitors must take care and keep the place clean.

Sangam & Mekedatu | Kanakapura, Bangalore, Karnataka
Sangama is the place near Bangalore in Kanakapura district, Karnataka where two rivers Kaveri and Arkavati join and flow through Mekedatu.
This place is around 95 KM from Bangalore and good for one day trip. Its good idea to start early and reach there by 9:30 AM to avoid rush during weekends. To visit this place from Bengaluru, first go to Kanakapura then take a left turn for Sangama/Mekedatu. My recommendation is to go there during monsoon and avoid summer because less water in the river will disappoint you.
To visit Mekedatu from Sangama, you need to take coracle to cross the river and then take a Bus ride for few kilometers.

Kanakapura Fort at Kanakapura Tourism Bangalore Tourism Karnataka Tourism | Forts of Karnataka
Kanakapura Fort at Kanakapura part of Kanakapura Tourism Bangalore Tourism Karnataka Tourism and Forts of Karnataka. Kanakapura was the connecting place from Madras through Mysore, Canara, and Malabar, was being called Kanikarnhalli and commonly Kankanhalli. The name of this village was actually Kanya-Karna composed of two Sanskrit words, Kanya meaning virgin or the goddess Bhavani, and Karna meaning ear.
Another version about the old name of Kanakapura was that the fort in the town had been built by Jagadeva Raya, the chieftain of Channapatna, who had pulled down a smaller structure owned by one Kanakana and hence the name Kankanhalli. The fort has the ancient Ranganatha Temple.
Kanakapura was one of the places through which the British Army under Lord Cornwallis, the Duke of Wellington, and others had invaded Srirangapatna in the 18th Century. Tipu Sultan, who was known for the practice of the scorched earth policy, had the town burnt down twice or laid waste to prevent its use by the British army.During the 18th century, Kanakapura and other small towns around it were raided by the British Army, in an attempt to invade these towns to establish their rule here. The invading British Army was led by Lord Cornwallis, the duke of Wellington. The great ruler Tipu Sultan took great measure to stop the invading Britishers. He summoned orders to burn down the village not once, but twice. The famous fort of Kanakapura was burnt down as well and only the remains can be seen today. He also ordered to dump a lot of waste in those areas in order to try and stop Britishers from invading these towns.
Only the remains can be seen today, near the Arkavathi Bridge.
The town is said to derive its name because of Jagadeva Raya who was the chief of Channapatna who demolished a structure in order to build an immense fort in this town. The structure that was destroyed was retained by a Kanakana, perhaps the name of the town, Kanakapura.
Kanakapura tourism offers other places of interest such as Bilikal Rangaswamy Betta, Maralwadi DAM, Maralwadi kere, Cauvery North Wildlife Santury, Panchapalli Dam at Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, Kanakapura fort, Benki Galls, Kanakapura Fort, Muthathi, Igloor Dam, Ganalu falls., Maralwadi DAM, Benki Falls, Haro Bele Dam .

Hogenakkal waterfall is located in south India in Dharmpuri district Tamilnadu on Kaveri river.
It is 180km from Bangalore and 46km from Dharmapuri.
sometimes its called as Niagara of India because of its nature.
The Kaveri is considered to form at Talakaveri in the Brahmagiri hills in the Western Ghats of south India and gathers momentum as the land drops in elevation. It becomes larger as various tributaries feed into it on the way down. At Hogenakkal, the Kaveri, now a large river, drops and creates numerous waterfalls as the water cuts through the rocky terrain. In places the water falls as much as 20 m (66 ft) and is said to sound like continual thunder.
