Kuhmo is a town and a municipality in Finland and is located at the south-eastern corner of the Kainuu region. The municipality has a population of 8,377 and covers an area of 5,456.78 square kilometres of which 649.97 km2 is water. The population density is 1.74 inhabitants per square kilometre . Kajaani is a town and municipality in Finland. It is the center and capital of the Kainuu region. It is located southeast of Oulujärvi , which drains to the Gulf of Bothnia along the Oulujoki . As of 31 August 2018, it had a population of 37,039.The town began in the 17th century, fuelled by the growth of the tar industry. It succumbed to Russian forces during the Greater Wrath of the 18th century, who ruined the Kajaani Castle in 1716. Today, the local economy is driven by mainly the sawmill, lumber and paper industries, although UPM Kymmene's Kajaani paper mill, the main employer from 1907 until 2008, has now closed. Cosas que puedes hacer durante el invierno finlandés. Las experiencias que verás en este video incluyeron una visita a Kajaani para continuar luego hacia Kuhmo e iniciar una visita a la salvaje Taiga
Allí estuvimos en las instalaciones del Hotel Kalevala con algunas lecciones de cross country skí. En Suomunsaalmi fuimos introducidos al nuevo parque nacional Hossa y nos quedamos en Jatkinsalmi log cabin. La comida local fue deliciosa e hicimos snowshoeing y fat biking en la nieva para luego proseguir a caminar sobre el lago congelado.
Al regreso la visita al Hossa reindeer park sirvió para conocer de cerca a los renos de la región.

If you would like to take photos of wild bears, wolves and wolverine then a perfect choice is to go and visit Lassi Rautiainens animal kingdom in the wilderness of Finland. This area is probably the Scandinavian answer to Yellowstone. All film and photos are taken with Sony a7rii. Mostly with Canon 300 mm f2,8 and teleconverters. Some high speed recording at 120 fps, played at 25 fps, used frame blending in fcp x.
