Manaccan is a civil parish and village on the Lizard peninsula in south Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The village is about five miles south-southwest of Falmouth.Manaccan parish is in a district known as Meneage which means 'land of the monks', a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The parish is bordered to the north by the Helford River , to the west by St Martin-in-Meneage parish, to the south by St Keverne parish, and to the east by St Anthony-in-Meneage parish. Mullion civil parish encompasses the church town and four smaller settlements: Mullion Cove and Predannack to the southwest; Trewoon and Meaver to the east. Mullion is bordered by the parishes of Gunwalloe and Cury to the north, Grade-Ruan to the east, Landewednack to the south, and by Mount's Bay to the west. Perranporth is a medium-sized seaside resort town on the north coast of Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is 1 mile east of the St Agnes Heritage Coastline, and around 8 miles south-west of Newquay. Perranporth and its 3 miles long beach face the Atlantic Ocean. It has a population of 3,066, and is the largest settlement in the civil parish of Perranzabuloe. It has an electoral ward in its own name, whose population was 4,270 in the 2011 census.The town's modern name comes from Porth Peran, the Cornish for the cove of Saint Piran, the patron saint of Cornwall. This video is of Gillan creek which starts at St Anthony-in-Meneage and ends at Gillan, near Helston, Cornwall, UK. The creek is a mile long and is named after the hamlet of Gillan which is where it ends. A lot of people also use it to sail boats on or to ride their boats down the creek in stead of the Helford River or the sea between St Anthony and Falmouth.
