Monte Terminillo is a massif in the Monti Reatini, part of the Abruzzi Apennine range in central Italy. It is located some 20 km from Rieti and 100 km from Rome and has a highest altitude of 2,217 metres . It is a typical Apennine massif, both for its morphology, articulated but not exceedingly sharp, and for the fauna and vegetation. Its slopes are separated by the neighbouring smaller massifs by deep valleys, including the Valle Leonina, leading to Leonessa, and the Ravara and Capo Scura valleys leading to that of the Velino River. Villa Lante did not become so known until it passed to Ippolito Lante Montefeltro della Rovere, Duke of Bomarzo, in the 17th century, when it was already 100 years old. The Villa, a property of the Republic of Italy, since December 2014's run by the Polo Museale del Lazio.

Il Monte Pennino è una montagna che raggiunge i 1.571 m s.l.m. situata nei comuni di Serravalle di Chienti e di Fiuminata al confine delle regioni Marche ed Umbria, nella Provincia di Perugia e nella Provincia di Macerata. Alle sue pendici nascono i fiumi Topino e Potenza. Un percorso a.r. sullo stesso sentiero con un dislivello di circa 500 metri, fino ad un rifugio dove
potremo degustare un buon caffè.
Chi fa il percorso più breve potrà tornare nel primo pomeriggio alla propria auto, chi sceglie il
percorso più lungo dovrà percorrere altri 2,5 km con un dislivello totale di 700m circa. Monte Pennino is a mountain that reaches 1,571 m s.l.m. It located in the towns of Serravalle di Chienti and Fiuminata on the border of the Marche and Umbria regions, in the Province of Perugia and in the Province of Macerata.
