Monte Terminillo is a massif in the Monti Reatini, part of the Abruzzi Apennine range in central Italy. It is located some 20 km from Rieti and 100 km from Rome and has a highest altitude of 2,217 metres . It is a typical Apennine massif, both for its morphology, articulated but not exceedingly sharp, and for the fauna and vegetation. Its slopes are separated by the neighbouring smaller massifs by deep valleys, including the Valle Leonina, leading to Leonessa, and the Ravara and Capo Scura valleys leading to that of the Velino River. 1. Cascata delle Marmore Marmore
The Cascata delle Marmore is a man-made waterfall created by the ancient Romans. Its total height is 165 m , making it the tallest man-made waterfall in the world. Of its 3 sections, the top one is the tallest, at 83 m . It is located 7.7 km from Terni, a provincial capital of the Italian region of Umbria. Its source is a portion of the waters of the river Velino , after flowing through Piediluco lake near the community of Marmore. It pours into the valley below formed by the river Nera. Its flow is turned on and off according to a published schedule, to satisfy the needs of tourists and the power company alike. Tourists try to be there the moment the gates are opened to see the powerful rush of water.

Il Monte Pennino è una montagna che raggiunge i 1.571 m s.l.m. situata nei comuni di Serravalle di Chienti e di Fiuminata al confine delle regioni Marche ed Umbria, nella Provincia di Perugia e nella Provincia di Macerata. Alle sue pendici nascono i fiumi Topino e Potenza. Un percorso a.r. sullo stesso sentiero con un dislivello di circa 500 metri, fino ad un rifugio dove
potremo degustare un buon caffè.
Chi fa il percorso più breve potrà tornare nel primo pomeriggio alla propria auto, chi sceglie il
percorso più lungo dovrà percorrere altri 2,5 km con un dislivello totale di 700m circa. Monte Pennino is a mountain that reaches 1,571 m s.l.m. It located in the towns of Serravalle di Chienti and Fiuminata on the border of the Marche and Umbria regions, in the Province of Perugia and in the Province of Macerata. On its slopes are born the rivers Topino and power. A path return receipt on the same path with a vertical drop of 500 meters, up to a shelter where
