DJI Phantom drone above Little Finland, southern Nevada
Little Finland is a remote site in southeastern Nevada, not far from the Whitney Pockets Park and the giant sinkhole known as the Devil's Throat. What sets Little Finland unique in the state is that wind and weather have eroded the soft sandstone atop the mile-long mesa into complex forms.
Some of the sandstone sculptures take on recognizable forms in the same way that we see pictures among clouds. there are also other places in which sandstone has been formed into 'creatures--notably Goblin Valley, Devil's Garden and Fantasy Canyon in Utah.
In this video, we use the DJI Phantom drone to explore the top of the mesa, then walk among the sculptures and give them names.
