The Kurki or Kurck family, also known as the family of Laukko, is a medievally-originated Finnish noble family that produced several historically prominent persons. It is documented in the late 14th century. The family is usually divided in several lineages as it continued through female succession. Please observe that no one surnamed Kurki who lived in Finland after the 17th century is descended from this family through documentarily proven agnatic lineage. The surname is common in Finland, and has been used by several other former or current unrelated families. The area of Old Rauma is about 0.3 km², with approximately six hundred buildings and about 800 people living in the area. 5. Sibelius Hall Lahti
The Sibelius Hall is a concert hall in Lahti, Finland, named after the composer Jean Sibelius. The concert hall was completed in 2000. Architects Kimmo Lintula and Hannu Tikka designed the hall, which is made out of glulam. The acoustics were engineered by Artec Consultants, New York. Its acoustics are one of its strongest points, while the architecture follows the Scandinavian tradition of sophisticated design. The concert hall has a capacity of 1,250 seats. The Sibelius Hall is home to the Lahti Symphony Orchestra.

The Great Aurora Hunt Road Trip, 4000 + km from the UK to Finland 1080HD

I joined my good friend aurorahunter and photographer Andy Keen on an epic 4000km + journey from the UK through Denmark and Sweden to northern Lapland Finland.
The journey took us 7 days where we met wonderful people and saw magnificent sights including the disco from Abisko and not forgetting the northern lights.
We drove to Finland in Andy's shiny new van where he works taking folk out chasing the elusive but wonderful northern lights.
