Plön is the district seat of the Plön district in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, and has about 8,700 inhabitants. It lies right on the shores of Schleswig-Holstein's biggest lake, the Great Plön Lake, as well as on several smaller lakes, touching the town on virtually all sides. The town's landmark is Plön Castle, a chateau built in the 17th century on a hill overlooking the town. Hansa-Park is a seasonal amusement park in Sierksdorf off the Baltic Sea. It was opened on May 15, 1977 under the name Hansaland and renamed Hansa-Park in 1987. It currently spans 113 acres and includes more than 125 attractions. From 1973 to 1976, the site was home to the first German Legoland. The park is owned by the Leicht family and managed by Christoph Andreas Leicht. The park attracts more than a million visitors each year, making it the fifth largest German amusement park. Stern magazine, in collaboration with the BAT Freizeit-Forschungsinstitut tested the ten leading German amusement parks. Laboe is a municipality in the district of Plön, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. It is situated on the Baltic Sea coast, approximately 10 km northeast of Kiel. The Laboe Naval Memorial is located within the municipality, as is the submarine U-995. The city coat of arms depicts a swan and is based on its name, as Laboe means swan in the extinct Slavic Polabian language.

Strande is a municipality in the district of Rendsburg-Eckernförde, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany at the Kiel Fjord.
It is about 20 kilometers north of the city of Kiel on the peninsula Dänischer Wohld on the Baltic Sea.
Beside the marina and related activities, there are two sandy beaches north and south of the harbor, the northern has infrastructure such as beach chairs.
