Purwakarta has extreme tourist destinations, especially the hills around Jatiluhur lake/dam. Mount Bongkok is located at Tegal Waru, Purwakarta, West Java, Indonesia.
You can do trekking here, it takes around 1-2 hours. Mount Bongkok has 2 spot to enjoy the beautiful scenery, Puncak Batu Bertumpuk and Puncak Datar. You can also stay overnight in a tent, there are two campsites here.

Purwakarta memiliki banyak destinasi alam yang menarik, terutama perbukitan sekitar waduk Jatiluhur. Salah satu gunung yang bisa dikunjungi adalah Gunung Bongkok. Gunung ini terletak di Tegal Waru, Purwakarta, Jawa Barat, Indonesia. HUT RI ke 72 tahun 2017 ini kami rayakan dengan perjalanan ke Gunung Bongkok, supaya semakin cinta Indonesia karena keindahan alamnya : )
Lama pendakiannya ke puncak cukup singkat sekitar 1-2 jam saja. Gunung Bongkok memiliki 2 puncak yaitu Puncak Batu Tumpuk dan Puncak Datar. Untuk mencapainya, rute atau jalur yang dilalui antara lain: Pos 1 - Pos 2 Munclu - Tanjakan 888- Tanjakan Urdu - Puncak Datar - Puncak Batu Bertumpuk.
Apabila ingin bermalam, di Gunung Bongkok terdapat 2 spot camping yaitu di pos 2 dan persimpangan antara Puncak Datar dan Puncak Batu Bertumpuk.

City Description:
Bogor, Indonesia, is a city south of Jakarta on Java Island set against the volcanic backdrop of Mount Salak. The city’s frequent rain is ideal for the thousands of plant species in Kebun Raya Bogor, a venerable botanic garden founded in 1817 by the Dutch colonial government. Its grounds contain the neoclassical landmark Istana Bogor (Bogor Palace) and the Bogor Zoology Museum.Some of the garden’s most notable flowers are its orchids (which number hundreds of species) and Amorphophallus titanum, which can grow 3 meters high. Bogor also offers scenic riverside walks, plus colorful marketplaces selling local crafts. Surrounding the city are golf courses, plus cycling and rock-climbing destinations. Hiking trails ascend the volcanoes of the Mount Gede Pangrango and Mount Halimun Salak national parks, home to rare plants, birds and animals such as silvery gibbons. The parks also contain waterfalls, plus rivers for white-water rafting. In the nearby town of Sentul is the Jungleland amusement park.
Weather and Events:
Peak season in Bogor is Jan–Mar. Bogor earns its nickname, the Rainy City. Even dry season (Jul–Sep) sees regular tropical showers. Temperatures are warm year-round, but the mountain climate keeps it cooler than other cities in West Java. The Cap Go Meh Street Festival (Feb) is a popular folk festival that coincides with Chinese New Year, and is celebrated with dance and drumming parades.

Legend said that this place was formerly a village, and got sunk down after a little boy got angry to the villagers who lied to him.
There are two spots in this place, Broken Beach and Angel Billabong. While Broken Beach looks like a giant hole, Angel Billabong is more like a nook between cliffs where sometimes the waves will wash out the slope. It looks harmless, but actually very dangerous.

2-Night Camping Trip - Halimun Jeep Camp - Steaks and Landslides
Karena kemarin lupa minta kontak dan informasi kemping lain ke pak Iwan, admin lokasi, gue balik lagi ke Jeep Camp sekalian kemping 2 malam lagi. Kali ini ngajak Edmond, teman lama jaman kuliah. Tanpa sepengetahuan kami, jadwal kemping kali ini bertepatan dengan fenomena purnama Supermoon; jadi walaupun di tengah-tengah musim hujan, cuaca selama kami di sana cukup bersahabat.
Since I forgot to ask for contact numbers and other camping information from pak Iwan, the site's admin, I went back to the Jeep camp for another 2-night camping. This time I had Edmond, an old friend from college, with me. Without us knowing, our trip coincided with a supermoon; so even though it was in the middle of the wet season, we experienced relatively fair weather during our stay.
