AFFILIATE LINK DISCLOSURE: Friends, making a quality Loloho video is kind of like making sausage – only slightly more violent. It's a ridiculous amount of work that typically involves high dollar camera drops, blue-screen-of-death computer crashes, and at least one angry shotgun wielding old man shouting, “Hey! Get the hell outta here!” Once the final video is posted, rewards here on YouTube are few and far between (unless you are a masochist who enjoys being verbally abused by anonymous trolls). One saving grace is our affiliate links. JUST CLICKING THESE LINKS HELPS TO SUPPORT OUR LITTLE SHOW. Think of this clicking as like tipping - except that it doesn't cost you anything extra! If you eventually make a purchase via one of our affiliate links, we will receive a few pennies (and Sean typically invests these pennies in duct tape and video gear). Again, it doesn't cost you anything to click these links, and it's a great help to us. As always, safe travels, happy camping, and THANK YOU!

Cheap RV Living in Quartzsite, Arizona - Mondays with the Mortons
Regarding the LTVA areas, in the video I made it sound like all areas have water and sewer which is not the case. The two areas we visited had it but some do not. You are allowed to stay on LTVA area for the whole time you hold the pass. Here is a great resource with more information on the LTVA's
Hey Everyone! This week in Quartzsite we have been doing a lot more socializing with the Xscapers RV Convergence 2017, including:
The Freedom Theory -
Drivin' and Vibin' -
RV Love -
LivinLite.net -
Spot the Scotts -
and more!
Tom came down with the sickness that had Caitlin out of last weeks episode:
So his voice is a little rough, but he powered through our weekly video to chat with you guys :) There seems to be a bug going around the Xscapers RV Convergence right now, as we've heard a few others have a cold/flu too.
Sickness and socializing aside, we've been doing some more exploring of the Quartzsite area and why people come down here. It is a huge off-roading area and ATVs, dirtbikes, Razrs and side-by-sides are everywhere. It is basically a huge playground! But the biggest thing we think draws people is the Cheap RV Living, Camping, and Winter Getaway for snowbirds of all ages.
There are basically 3 options for staying in an RV here:
1. Free BLM Land - which we are staying on. The Bureau of Land Management allows 14 days in one spot on this free public land - but you have to move from the area a certain distance. There are no hookups, no water, so you have to go to town to fill tanks, dump tanks, and dispose of garbage.
2. Campgrounds - for the non-boondockers or for taking a break from boondocking for a few days.
3. Long-Term Vehicular Area (LTVA) - costs $20/week or $180 for 7 months. Access to water fill, garbage disposal, and dump areas at the entrance to the LTVA parking areas. Vault toilets are also located throughout these areas. Still a 14-day limit per camping spot, so you have to move a bit, but otherwise you can stay practically all winter with all your basic needs covered.
In the area we have been staying in, we have been going to town to get water, etc. We've spent on $19 in the past week, including drinking water, propane, and gasoline for our generator. That's pretty cheap RV living if you ask me!
Cell service in Quartzsite is actually pretty good, which was a necessity for us as well as many other people for their phone and internet access. Some areas are obviously better than others, and when the place gets busy the cell towers can get a bit bogged down and slow.
On top of being cheap rv living there is lots of socialization and rv community which we are loving. Lots to explore, and lots of opportunity to find solitude out here if you aren't a social butterfly. You can enjoy non-freezing temperatures all winter long out here.
Many people come and go from the area a they use it as a cheap rv living home base in the winter, taking week-long trips out to nearby areas before returning.
Summer is another stor. RVs don't usually hang out here because it gets up over 100 very frequently. But since our house is on wheels we just go north!
We have been having a blast here in Quartzsite. Yesterday we headed out to the Desert Bar with Josh and Kali from The Freedom Theory and got some awesome drone footage of their truck making the off-road drive out to this middle-of-nowhere bucket list destination!

Four Corners Monument - Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona
The Four Corners Monument is the only place in the USA where four states come together. Colorado, Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona. While we were passing though we decided to fly to get a visual from above. Hope you enjoy this video with a surprise ending. :)

THIS PLACE EXISTS? OFF GRID DESERT BAR Parker, Arizona
WAY OFF THE GRID is the DESERT BAR in Parker, Arizona. Just outside Lake Havasu City. While we have been full time RV Living out here in Quartzsite, Arizona we decided it was time for an adventure of off roading and seeing this sustainable off grid bar. We took our Ram 3500 Dually out on the path that isn't too bumpy and got to experience some beautiful scenery.
The Desert Bar is located between Parker, Arizona and Lake Havasu City, Arizona. The bar is completely off grid and is powered by solar panels. They accept only cash and have 3 places to purchase food. The owner hopes to eventually build a town out at the desert bar.
These experiences are why we love living in a RV and traveling across the US in our RV. Adventure is around every corner and we are so thankful for the time we have been able to spend with our new friends our here in Quartzsite, Arizona.
We took our drones for a flight around the Desert Bar. My phantom 3 standard flew well in the wind that we had that day. And the Desert Bar from the air looks incredible! Our RV life has us on an adventure of a life time and we live for experiences like this! Tiny living truly has made it possible for us to see the beautiful world around us!

OUR STORY
We are Josh and Kali from Seattle, Washington. In 2015 we decided to change our lives. We sold everything we owned bought a RV and a truck starting living in our RV full time in 30 days! Full time rv living was a major change for us. We hadn't made any plans to change to this rv life until one day it hit us we couldn't have the American Dream and travel to. Choosing to travel meant downsizing our life and becoming minimalists. It was the BEST decision we have ever made. Now we plan to travel non-stop in our 33ft. fifth wheel full time. Join the adventure as we RV across the United States (US)
