Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines [sɛ̃ kɑ̃.tɛ̃ ɑ̃.n‿iv.lin] is a new town and a communauté d'agglomération in the French département of Yvelines. It is one of the original five villes nouvelles of Paris and was named after the Saint Quentin Pond, which was chosen to become the town's centre. The town was built from a greenfield site starting in the 1960s. In 2014, Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines had a population of 231,057. It is part of the much larger Paris metropolitan area, and is around 25 km west of the centre of Paris.

    The Fondation Claude Monet is a nonprofit organisation that runs and preserves the house and gardens of Claude Monet in Giverny, France. With a total of 530,000 visitors in 2010, it is the second most visited tourist site in Normandy after the Mont Saint-Michel. The House and Garden have been recognised as a Maison des Illustres and Jardin remarquable rewarding their outstanding qualities. The estate was classified as a Monument historique in 1976.
