EXPLODING HAMMER FESTIVAL IN GUANAJUATO MEXICO 2017
The exploding hammer festival, or fiesta del martillo explosivo in spanish, is an annual festival in San Juan de la Vega, Guanajuato, Mexico. Every February 28th, thousands of people visit this small little down to see locals tape home made explosives to sledgehammers, and slam then into the ground. The explosions are huge, and injuries are very common. It's a strange festival, and one of the most dangerous in the world
This particular date, is day to celebrate San Juan Bautista, aka John the Baptist, which the town was named after. No one can remember exactly how all the exploding started... but at one point it took place inside the city. Those who participated would follow the parade in the honour of the saint, blasting the hammers to celebrate. After a lot of damage to windows, people, and cars, they moved the hammers out into a field. Here, hundreds of men can detonate their explosives slightly more safely.
For travel vloggers like myself, it's the perfect place to be able to film all the action. I was so happy that I brought my GoPro to this event. I almost left it behind in fear that the blasts would destroy it. The little things are tough, and we got some great POV video of some of the locals and their hammers. We spent a lot of our time in the beautiful city of Celaya, which is nearby the festival. Highly recommend you check it out. The tourism board there went to great lengths to help us get the best video possible of the event!
Hope you enjoy this video. I stayed up all night to edit it. I love getting these crazy festival videos up ASAP after they happen. I still have adrenaline in my system! Enjoy the Boom!

Superman / la Atracción de Acero front seat on-ride HD POV Parque Warner Madrid
This Superman / Ride of Steel varies from the others in the USA, which are all Intamin mega coasters rather than a B&M (Bolliger & Mabillard) floorless coaster. Standing 164 feet tall with a top speed of 62 mph, it doesn't reach the height or velocity of its U.S. namesakes. However they don't have any inversions and this baby offers seven: a loop, an Immelmann, a zero-g roll, a cobra roll and a pair of interlocking corkscrews!
Parque Warner Madrid is located near Madrid in San Martín de la Vega, Spain.

EPIC GOPRO MONTAGE OF DANGEROUS FESTIVAL | EXPLODING HAMMERS
I thought I'd make an epic GoPro Montage of some of the best POV shots I recorded during the exploding hammer festival in Guanajuato, Mexico.
I was told that BBC had tried to use an action camera a couple years ago and it didn't survive the blasts, and that I would be insane to try it too. I thought my old HERO 3 would make it through the explosions if I positioned it right on the hammer, and hey, if it didn't... wouldn't that be an epic way to say goodbye, and I'd go out and buy the new Hero 5 Black, and get that delicious 4k. The Hero 3 plus lived, and I was stoaked with the results

TOLEDO, SPAIN WORLD HERITAGE MONUMENTS
TOLEDO, SPAIN WORLD HERITAGE MONUMENTS
Toledo (Spanish: [toˈleðo]) is a city and municipality located in central Spain; it is the capital of the province of Toledo and the autonomous community of Castile–La Mancha. Toledo was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 for its extensive monumental and cultural heritage.
Toledo is known as the Imperial City for having been the main venue of the court of Charles V, Holy Roman Emperor, and as the City of the Three Cultures for the cultural influences of Christians, Muslims and Jews reflected in its history. It was also the capital from 542 to 725 AD of the ancient Visigothic kingdom, which followed the fall of the Roman Empire, and the location of historic events such as the Visigothic Councils of Toledo. Toledo has a long history in the production of bladed weapons, which are now common souvenirs from the city.

THE GLOWING BIO BAY IN VIEQUES PUERTO RICO
Mosquito Bay or Bio Bay in Vieques, Puerto Rico is an amazing place. It is the brightest glowing bioluminescent bay in the world. I jumped on a few kayak tours during the night of a new moon and saw this incredible light show.
Honestly, it was more amazing that I imagined. I had read a review or two, but wasn't sure if it was worth the trip to the island. It was. The bay is extremely bright, and until now, it was very hard to capture on camera. I recently picked up a Sony a7s which is a beast in low light, and was impressed with that it could capture. This has rarely ever been caught on Camera.
The government is doing a good job at keeping this place pristine. In some areas of the world you can jump in, splash around, use gasoline engines, and generally just destroy the ecosystem these little guys live in. Here in Vieques, Puerto Rico, you are not allowed to swim, or use gasoline. Nearby light pollution has to be kept to a minimum, and there give Bio Bay some days off now and again to recover. This is probably why it remains the brightest in the world. High Five for sustainable eco tourism. I wish everywhere was this forward thinking.
This was one of my best travel experiences. Like I said, it's worth the trip!
