Sant'Antonino -- Exploring La Balagne
Sant'Antonino is an ancient circular village on the northern coast of Corsica, perched on a rocky hilltop that overlooks the ocean and the Balagne region. At one time the Balagne was considered the Garden of Corsica for its olive trees, fruit orchards and fertile soil.
Cars and buses can drive up to the village and there are plenty of parking spots, under the shade of trees, next to the main church. The houses in this village seem to be fused to the rock. On every corner there's a panoramic view of the ocean......or the surrounding valleys below. This is one village that is completely off limits to cars. Sant'Antonino has a chapel and a church and there are a few artisanal shops selling souvenirs, crafts and gastronomic specialties. After Bonifacio, this is one of my favorite places in Corsica where I can wander through a maze of circular passages and archways and admire the awesome views and the local architecture. There are two restaurants: La Taverne Corse located at the entrance and La Belle Vue on the opposite site of the village. Both offer traditional Corsican dishes at a reasonable price (charcuterie, brocciu omelets, cheeses and other local specialties). Depending on the time of year or the time of day you may find some businesses are closed so it is best to always come prepared with a picnic. It is worth stopping at La Maison du Citron (located near the entrance) for a glass of freshly squeezed citron juice or a muscat.
Sant'Antonino is perfect for a day trip, just 10km away from Algajola and 15km from Île Rousse. On a future post we will visit Algajola, a picturesque sea side village located about 15 minutes from Calvi by car.

5 Most Charming Small Towns in France
Many travelers to France don’t stray far from the big cities like Paris and Lyon. They don’t know what they’re missing: Picture-postcard medieval villages with narrow cobblestone streets and city walls. They’re also missing out on charming towns where wine-making reigns supreme and a more traditional France can still be found. Even better, many small towns in France are often situated amid gorgeous scenery of both mountains and sea.

The Amazing Angad Arts Hotel In St Louis: Color Room Tours, Rooftop Bar, Art Pieces & Grand Tavern.
We had the opportunity to take a tour of a hotel in St. Louis that is truly unique - The Angad Arts Hotel. It's an art-inspired property, and the only one of its kind in the world! Guests can choose their room by type, but also by emotion of color. The rooms are available in four different color schemes: Happy Yellow, Passionate Red, Rejuvenation Green, or Tranquility Blue. The furnishings and the artwork in each room fit the specific color scheme. There is definitely one room color that is the most popular, but you'll have to watch the video to find out which color that is! The Angad Rainbow Terrace (ART) is a rooftop bar and lounge, offering indoor and outdoor seating with amazing views of the St. Louis skyline. The hotel is named in honor of Angad Paul, a British businessman and film producer, and is the result of the work and planning of Steve Smith and the Lawrence Group.
The hotel is an attraction in and of itself, but its location makes it a great place to stay while you're in St. Louis. The Angad Arts Hotel (AAH) is located in the center of what is known as St. Louis’s Grand Center Arts District. Located literally next door to the AAH, is the Powell Symphony Hall, home to the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra. About half a block from the AAH, is the Fabulous Fox Theatre, where you'll be able to see musicals, big-name stars, and musicals. The Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis is nearby, and the area has several Italian eateries, steakhouses, and bars. One of the very best restaurants in this area and St. Louis, is located right in the Angad Arts Hotel, The Grand Tavern by Chef David Burke. Its location offers quick and easy access to I-64, meaning you're just a few minutes from the St. Louis Cardinals Busch Stadium, the St. Louis Zoo, Science Center, and many other great attractions.
We thought the AAH was amazing, and we'll be back to stay the night, probably taking in a ballgame or a musical at the Fabulous Fox while we're at it. Not sure what color of room we'll pick though!
