Boat Trip
Italy. A country where my ancestors and my last name come from. Yeah, that really is my last name. In autumn 2017 we made a class trip to Lavagna, a part of Genoa in the northwest of Italy. This is the first part of this journey.
The second day we went snorkeling in Key Largo. Key Largo is a bay in which a Jesus statue is under water, called 'Christ Of The Deep'. Afterwards some of us walked through a path of many olive trees to the church of Santa Giulia in Lavagna. We drank from the churchs spring, solid 8/10. The sunset on the way back was breathtaking.
Good times. Beautiful memories.

Atri, Abruzzo, Italy by Yulia Talbot. A journey to an ancient Italian town.

The Name: Italia - trailer
It was twenty-one hundred years ago that Italy (Italia) got its name. The name evolved from an interesting series of political and social events which ended in a war between allies, known as the Social War. This documentary, videoed on location in central Italy, traces the evolution of the Italic tribes, and in particular, the growth of the fierce warrior nation of the Peligne. The town of Corfinium, known as the Metropolis of the Peligne is the site of the modern-day town of Corfinio. The documentary includes many historically significant locations and a guided tour of Corfinio's Civic Archaeological Museum.
