Villennes-sur-Seine is a commune in the Yvelines department in the Île-de-France in north-central France. Villennes-sur-Seine is located in the Seine Valley just 30 km/20 miles west of Paris. The charming leafy village offers bed and breakfast a rural and relaxed atmosphere while being only a 22-minute train ride away from Paris. The village itself offers an eleventh-century church and ancient grottos. Easy train or auto access allows visitors to reach Versailles, Central Paris and other destinations in the city in just minutes.

1. Parc Asterix Plailly
Parc Astérix is a theme amusement park in France, based on the comic book series Asterix . With two million visitors yearly, Parc Asterix is the second theme park near Paris after Disneyland and its 11 million visitors yearly. It is situated approximately 35 km north of Paris, 32 km from Disneyland Paris and 20 km from the historic Château de Chantilly, in the commune of Plailly, in the département of Oise. Opened in 1989, the park is operated by Compagnie des Alpes. It is especially well known in France for its large variety of roller coasters , and has begun incorporating rides and themes from historic cultures such as the Gauls, the Romans, the ancient Greeks and recently the Egyptians, but always in the visual style of the stories.

Vernouillet est une commune du département des Yvelines, dans la région Île-de-France, en France, située à 13 km environ au nord-ouest de Saint-Germain-en-Laye.

Vernouillet se trouve en bord de Seine, sur la rive gauche du fleuve et forme une agglomération continue avec la commune voisine de Verneuil.

Dans le sud très boisé de la commune, se trouvent les hameaux de Brézolles et Marsinval.

La commune est limitrophe de Verneuil-sur-Seine au nord-ouest, de Chapet à l'ouest, de Morainvilliers au sud-ouest et de Médan au sud-est. À l'est, elle est séparée par la Seine de Triel-sur-Seine.

Vernouillet est desservie par la ligne ferroviaire Paris-Saint-Lazare-Mantes-la-Jolie via Poissy à la gare de Vernouillet - Verneuil.

* « Vernouillet » est le diminutif de « Verneuil », qui dérive de « verne », autre nom de l'aulne, d'origine gauloise.
* Le blason est issu de la famille Romé, seigneurs locaux. Le blason est surmonté d'une couronne de ville frappée en son centre d'un clou d'argent, et supporté par deux palmes d'or nouées d'azur. Ce blason d'aujourd'hui fut dessiné par R. Louis
* 1959 : construction dans le parc du château d'une des premières cités HLM d'Île-de-France.

The Jardin Dominique Alexandre Godron (1 hectare) is a historic botanical garden covering an area of 1 hectare, that located at 3 rue Sainte-Catherine in Nancy, Meurthe-et-Moselle, Lorraine, France.
The garden was founded in 1758 by Stanisław Leszczyński, the last Duke of Lorraine, as an adjunct to the Royal College of Medicine. It is the city's oldest botanical garden, and remained active as such until 1993 when its collections were transferred to the larger Jardin botanique du Montet outside the central city. It was named in honor of celebrated local botanist Dominique Alexandre Godron (1807-1880), who redesigned and reinvigorated the garden during his tenure as director, and now displays horticultural collections in its long, narrow beds.
