Whitchurch-on-Thames is a village and civil parish on the Oxfordshire bank of the River Thames, about 5.5 miles northwest of Reading, Berkshire, in close proximity to Whitchurch Hill. Opposite Whitchurch on the Berkshire bank is the village of Pangbourne.

Stonehenge is a prehistoric monument in Wiltshire, England, 2 miles west of Amesbury. It consists of a ring of standing stones, with each standing stone around 13 feet high, 7 feet wide and weighing around 25 tons. The stones are set within earthworks in the middle of the most dense complex of Neolithic and Bronze Age monuments in England, including several hundred burial mounds.Archaeologists believe it was constructed from 3000 BC to 2000 BC. The surrounding circular earth bank and ditch, which constitute the earliest phase of the monument, have been dated to about 3100 BC. The Hawk Conservancy Trust is a bird park and conservation charity that cares for and displays birds of prey. It is located in Weyhill, Hampshire, England, near to the A303 road and the town of Andover. Founded as a zoo by local farmer Reg Smith and his wife Hilary, the park was incorporated as the Hawk Conservancy Trust in 2002. It is also the site of the National Bird of Prey Hospital, a veterinary hospital that takes in injured birds of prey.

Blenheim & Woodstock was a railway station constructed in the neoclassical style which served the town of Woodstock and Blenheim Palace in the English county of Oxfordshire. The station, as well as the line, was constructed by the Duke of Marlborough and was privately run until 1897 when it became part of the Great Western Railway. The number of trains serving the station was cut in the late 1930s, and again in 1952 down to only six trains a day. The last train ran on 27 February 1954 adorned with a wreath. Pangbourne Railway Station, Berkshire, England - 25th July, 2017.

Pangbourne railway station is a railway station serving the village of Pangbourne in the county of Berkshire, and across the River Thames the village of Whitchurch-on-Thames, in Oxfordshire. The station is served by local services operated by Great Western Railway.

Pangbourne station is located close to the village centre, with main station buildings on the opposite side of the railway to the village. It has two platforms, one on each of the relief (slow) lines, whilst the fast lines pass behind the station. UNTOUCHED ABANDONED MANSION, ENGLAND

Eyup eyup, this week we're at an amazing almost untouched abandoned mansion in the rolling hills of England. Usually these places get pretty trashed pretty quick but this one was in amazing condition.

Exploring the dilapidated ruins of civilisation, abandoned buildings, creepy theme parks, military bases, and underground vaults containing the remnants of a by gone era. And with a bit of comedy and humour chucked in there too, can't be too serious about these things.

We're not serious urban explorers, we just love the adventure.

UK - Clan Line mixes with London Suburban Trains, 16/2/2018

Getting a couple of decent shots of Clan Line on the Belmond British Pullman service proved to be a combination of fighting with the London traffic noise and praying there'd be a gap between the suburban services running in and out of London's busiest station, Victoria. Nevertheless, I think I managed the best I could under the circumstances, and using my pocket camcorder hand held, during a few days visit to the capital with the family. The Southern Railway pacific Merchant Navy Class, number 35028 Clan Line looked resplendent in the winter sunshine and I managed to find a couple of quite nice locations, both just outside Victoria Station. The first shows the train crossing the River Thames at Chelsea Bridge and the second features a nice S-bend on the final approach to Victoria. The listed building of Battersea Power Station is prominent in the background, as the pacific waited for permission to enter the station right in front of our position on Ebury Bridge.

A SouthWest trains, ah, train at 14h15 heads towards Whitchurch, Hampshire. Filmed from near footpath which runs from Harroway and under track (you'll see the bridge at the end of the video). This Easter weekend, Reading station was closed for upgrades; and there were First Great Western trains using this line, too.

A 10 mile circular walk from Goring and Streatley Station via the Thames Path to Whitchurch-on-Thames and then through the Chiltern Hills via Wroxhills Wood back to Goring. The walk took place in sunny weather on Saturday 13 June 2009.
