Wheatley is a fictional artificial intelligence from the Portal franchise first introduced in the 2011 video game Portal 2. He is voiced by British comedian Stephen Merchant, and created in part by Portal 2's designer Erik Wolpaw. Waterperry Gardens are a garden with a museum in the village of Waterperry near Wheatley east of Oxford in Oxfordshire, England.Beatrix Havergal established the Waterperry School of Horticulture, a school of horticulture for ladies, that existed there from 1932 until her retirement in 1971. There are eight acres of landscaped ornamental gardens with an alpine garden, formal knot garden, herbaceous borders, riverside walk, rose garden, and water-lily canal. There are also five acres of orchards. The garden has the National Collection of Kabschia saxifrages. Other facilities include a gallery, garden shop, gift shop, museum, plant centre, and tea shop. The Museum of Rural Life is located in an 18th-century granary building, with displays of implements and tools.

It consists of a ring of standing stones, with each standing stone around 13 feet high, 7 feet wide and weighing around 25 tons. It is located in Weyhill, Hampshire, England, near to the A303 road and the town of Andover. It is also the site of the National Bird of Prey Hospital, a veterinary hospital that takes in injured birds of prey.

The park holds over 165 species of exotic animals, among other attractions such as a small theme park. The park contains the largest groups of white lions, cheetahs, hippopotami, and meerkats in the UK, as well as the largest lemur walk-through exhibit. Sandall Park is a park in Doncaster, South Yorkshire, England. Sandall Park covers 69 acres and is located in Wheatley and is the one of the biggest leisure parks in Doncaster.

Before 1841 the land was the site of a brick works and the lake is a result of the extraction of clay from the area. Sandall Park was 1940 before the park was officially opened as a park.

Sandall Park plays host to 3 football pitches, 1 fishing lake which prior to 1980s the lake had small boats for park users to use hence the park is known locally as the 'Boating Lake' which is now used for angling. There is also a smaller pond named 'the bog pond'.

The Friends of Sandall Park is a registered charity formed in 2003 which is committed to the promotion, support, assistance and regeneration of the park. In 2011 the group won the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service. The award which is the equivalent to an MBE and is the highest award that can be made to a voluntary group

Like many, I’ve harbored the dream of experiencing the English countryside for years. In my mind were images of rolling green hills dotted with quaint villages and Downton-Abbey-style estates. So on my last trip to London, I decided to get out into the English countryside to finally see it for myself. And you know what? It was not far from my imagination.

The region I visited is called Dorset. And please note, I misspoke in the video it is SOUTHWEST of London!!

And Sherborne, one of the many small towns there, is known for having a complex history dating back to Roman times with an impressive array of architectural wonders. And I’d love to come back to explore more of this place, preferably not in the dead of winter!

There is more to see in Sherborne that didn’t make it into my video. Most notable is the Sherborne Castle, Sherborne Lake, and the Sherborne School. These are all beautiful sites to see. Bring your walking shoes!

It really could not have been easier to get to Dorset from London. For Sherborne, jump on a South West Train from Waterloo Station to Sherborne. The train stop is right in town letting you off not far from the abbey. This makes an easy escape for a daytrip or a long weekend.

The antique shop I visited is called, Robin Wheatley Antiques. And that was Robin himself who so kindly let me throw a camera in his face. Also, the restaurant, The Green is easy to locate right in the middle of town.

I have to thank Visit Britain for facilitating my getaway into the countryside.
