Trento Italy
Trento is an Italian city located in the Adige River valley in Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol. It is the capital of the region and of the Autonomous Province of Trento.
In the English-speaking world, the city is most notable as the location of the Council of Trent. Trento is a major educational, scientific, financial and political centre in Trentino Alto-Adige and Northern Italy in general. The University of Trento ranks highly (9th) out of Italy's top 30 colleges, and amongst the 500 best in the world, coming 407th.[1] The city contains a picturesque Medieval and Renaissance historic centre, with ancient buildings such as Trento Cathedral and the Castello del Buonconsiglio.
Modern-day Trento is a cosmopolitan city, with highly-developed and organized modern social services. The city often ranks extremely highly out of all 103 Italian cities for quality of life, standard of living, and business and job opportunities, coming 1st, 6th and 2nd respectively.[2] Trento is also one of the nation's wealthiest and most prosperous, with its province being one of the richest in Italy, with a GDP per capita of €29,500 and a GDP (nominal) of €14.878 billion. The Shrine of the Corona is a place of silence and meditation, extended between heaven and earth, hidden in the heart of the Baldo rocks.
A holy tradition dates the birth of the Shrine of Our Lady of the Corona to the 1522, the year when the sculpture venerated here was miraculously transported through angelic intervention from the island of Rhodes. In 1625 works began on the construction of a new and more spacious church 4 metres above the previous one which was incorporated beneath the new presbytery. In 1974, the church was partly demolished and reconstructed.
There are many sculptures in the Shire, the majority of which, in white Carrara marble, are by the sculptor Ugo Zannoni from Verona. Along the right wall of the Shrine there is a real historical-artistic patrimony of ex voto: 167 tablets of different sizes the oldest of which dates to 1547 and shows the miraculous saving of a woman about to drown in the Adige in Verona. Bronze casts by the Veronese architect Raffaele Bonente can be admired along the access road (from Spiazzi and from Brentino Belluno).
How to reach it:
From Verona, through the Autostrada A22 up to Affi. Than follow with the “provinciale” street to Caprino and Spiazzi for 20 km. You can go to the Shrine through stairs from Spiazzi (about 20 minutes) or by mini-bus
For the entire pilgrimage, instead, you start from Brentino Belluno and you have to go up 1540 stairs. A difference altitude of 1400 meters and travelling time of about 2 hours to go up and 1 hour to go down.

Toce Waterfall
The most majestic and beautiful in the Alps
The Toce Waterfall is the second highest waterfall in Europe with a 143 meter single drop and a 60 meter width.
At the top there is an observation point from where you can admire its full splendour. This wooden support leans out over the fall
Also at the top of the waterfall there is a famous hotel built in 1923 in Deco style by the famous architect Piero Portaluppi.
Openings times:
The waterfall is fully open at certain times during the year as the water is used for the production if hydro electric power.
