Taipu de Fora é considerada uma das mais belas praias do Brasil. Na maré baixa, formam-se piscinas naturais chegando a cerca de um quilômetro de extensão, ideal para mergulho livre.
Procure sempre tomar conhecimento da tábua das marés, escolhendo as chamadas marés VIVAS ou de grande amplitude, por conta do alinhamento do sol e da lua. Nestas condições, o recuo do mar é mais acentuado, deixando mais corais expostos e mais vida marinha aprisionada. Este efeito se dá tanto na lua cheia como na lua nova. Leve, se possível, seu próprio equipamento de mergulho (máscara, respirador e nadadeiras), muito embora possam ser alugados na praia. A água é quente, não sendo necessárias roupas especiais para mergulho.

BEACHES
The longest beaches are located on the ocean side of the Peninsula. With strong waves, good for surfing, they have white sand and coral reefs which form natural swimming pools at low tide. On the other side of the Peninsula, facing the Camamu Bay, beaches are smaller, with calm water.
THE PENINSULA OF MARAÚ is located on the Dendê Coast, in the State of Bahia, 200 km south of Salvador, 150 km north of Ilhéus.

The climate is tropical and humid with an annual average temperature of 28ºC / 82ºF.
TO GET THERE BY AIR
The nearest airport is Ilhéus (IOS). The closest international airport is in Salvador (SSA). It is served by most major international air companies. There are daily flies to Ilhéus from Salvador and São Paulo by the Brazilian companies TAM and GOL. Small planes (air taxis) take passengers directly to Barra Grande from Salvador airport. TO GET THERE BY BOAT FROM CAMAMU
Camamu is 2 hours from Salvador by the ferry-boat and the road BA-001. A boat transports passengers several times a day from the port of Camamu to Barra Grande. It takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. Agencies of Camamu and Barra Grande provide faster transport in quick boats.
TO GET THERE BY LAND FROM ITACARÉ
Some agencies based at Itacaré provide transport service to the Peninsula of Maraú by off-road vehicles, from Itacaré and the airport of Ilhéus.
TO GET THERE BY THE BR-030
The BR-030 is an unpaved road in very bad state that links the town of Ubaitaba, on the BR-101 interstate road, to Barra Grande. The BR-030 is not practical for to common cars. It is possible to shorten the way driving by the BA-001 until Itacaré, then taking a boat to cross the river and going on by a dirt road until the BR-030. [MAP]

Nosso destino desta vez foi a famosa Ilha Morro de São Paulo na Bahia um destino fantástico e muito Bonito, um dos destinos mais procurados por estrangeiros e Brasileiros de todas as partes do Brasil. Com um visual maravilhoso chegamos de catamarã, e fomos recebidos pelos nativos da ilha, ao desembarcar nossas malas foram carregadas de carrinho de mão ate o Hotel , pois la não existem veículos circulando , um dos atrativos, quem depender de carro não sera na ilha que conseguira, nem táxi, quase todos trechos da ilha nas praias são feitos a Pe. Ficamos na Pousada Bahia Brasil , pois apos muita pesquisa foi a pousada que nos proporcionou uma agradável estadia de 5 dias,
O Morro de São Paulo é uma vila com praias e paisagens paradisíacas. É habitado por pessoas hospitaleiras, que têm prazer em mostrar aos visitantes as maravilhas da natureza que há nesse lugar.
Morro de São Paulo está situado em uma ilha, sendo o acesso feito apenas por barcos ou avião. Lá não circulam carros, o transporte é feito através de carros de mão. Por isso e por outras características únicas, o Morro de São Paulo transforma-se em um lugar especial para relaxar e conviver com as maravilhas que a natureza oferece nesse lugar, tendo assim uma grande variedade de Pousadas e Hotéis para hospedar os seus visitantes. Logo na chegada há, por exemplo, o Hotel Pousada Passárgada com uma vista exuberante e muita tranquilidade para sua estadia.
Mas não há apenas tranquilidade nesse paraíso. Também há muita badalação para quem gosta de agitos noturnos. Existem várias opções de festas que vão até o amanhecer, regadas de muita gente bonita, alto astral e música para todos os gostos.

O transfer para Morro de São Paulo tem como ponto de partida Salvador da Bahia.
A Primeira Praia é a mais próxima da vila. Nela foram construídas as primeiras casas de veraneio. É a praia mais freqüentada pelos moradores. Nela há algumas barracas onde é servido culinária típica baiana, e é na Primeira Praia de Morro de São Paulo também que está a maior tiroleza do Brasil, onde os turistas costumam aproveitar a aventura e curtir a paisagem do lugar.
SEGUNDA PRAIA
A Segunda Praia é a praia mais agitada e também a mais badalada da ilha de Tinharé. Nela está o agito todo do Morro de São Paulo. Existe um complexo de bares e restaurantes que garantem um bom atendimento aos turistas, e é aqui onde é divulgada toda a programação noturna. À noite possui uma diversidade de barracas de artesanato e de bebidas típicas como caipifrutas, e é aqui que acontece o luau,regado de muita música e axé.
TERCEIRA PRAIA
A Terceira Praia de Morro de São Paulo possui um grande complexo de pousadas e restaurantes, e é dela que partem os passeios de barco oferecidos pelas agências locais. A faixa da praia fica bastante estreita no caso de maré alta. As Pousadas e os hotéis encontrados na Terceira Praia apresentam uma grande diversidade de preços, tem para todos os gostos e bolsos.
QUARTA PRAIA
A Quarta Praia de Morro de São Paulo é conhecida por suas águas calmas, mornas e cristalinas. Pela vasta presença dos típicos coqueiros da região e pela sua extensão de mais de quatro quilômetros de paz e tranquilidade que nos proporcionam uma caminhada inesquecível a beira mar.
QUINTA PRAIA
A Quinta Praia fica situada a seis quilômetros da vila, e é a mais bem preservada da ilha. São dois quilômetros de areia fina e branca, águas transparentes e mornas onde encontramos manguezais e podemos ter contato com a Mata Atlântica. Uma imensa barreira de corais dá forma a várias piscinas naturais, onde podemos mergulhar e observar a vida marinha nesse paraíso ecológico que é a Quinta Praia ou também chamado de Praia do Encanto de Morro de São Paulo.Part of Morro de Sao Paulo’s charm is its mix of upscale, new hotels and restaurants with older, shabbier pousadas and taverns. My rating: Ihla Grande you shoudn't miss. Rio is kind of overrated - 5 days will do!
After a visit to Paraty, head out to one of the picturesque, laid-back islands on the coast, llha Grande. Relax and walk the clean sand beaches or bathe in the warm waters of this island paradise. Options include hikes through the jungle to waterfalls, a nearby black sand beach, boats or hikes to other secluded beaches or just hanging out in the laid-back World Heritage town centre. The island is a Nacional Patrimony protected area and its fauna and flora are extremely diverse. The state park was created in 1971 and encompasses 4.500 hectares of wilderness. Mountain range, coastal, mangrove and prairie vegetation are all found here, along with an astonishing collection of bird life, including parrots, woodpeckers, Brazilian thrushes and saracuras. There are also different kinds of monkeys, squirrels, armadillos, pacas, hedgehogs and snakes, as well as endangered species such as the Alouatta Fusca, generally known as Bugio monkey. Optional activities are hikes, snorkeling, diving and biking. You can also take a boat ride that takes you to some of the beaches of the island and try caipirinha, Brazil's national drink. Back on the mainland, a dramatic road then takes us north along the coast through superb scenery before rounding the cliffs at Vidigal, where we get our first glimpse of one of the most memorable cities in the world Brazil's ocean-side jewel, Rio de Janeiro. Enjoy any free time by exploring the wonders that this city has to offer from our centrally-located hotel in Copacabana or take an optional city tour. God made the world in six days, the seventh he devoted to Rio, so say the Cariocas, residents of this beautiful city. This is a densely packed city of over 9 million inhabitants, whose economic foundations lie in the cultivation of sugar cane and gold mining. Referred to as the cidade maravilhosa (Marvellous City), few cities enjoy such a dramatic setting as Rio. The brilliant, white beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema, deep blue waters of the Atlantic, luminescent green of Guanabara Bay and bare blue slopes of the Sugar Loaf mountain combine to give Rio one of the most stunning cityscapes in the world. Standing over it all, atop Corcovado (Hunchback) mountain, is the huge statue of Christ the Redeemer, symbol of Rio and the best place from which to appreciate the city. Superb panoramic views of the city and area can also be found from the top of the Pao do Açucar (Sugar Loaf), reached by cable car. Head to some of the famous beaches, and prepare yourself for an experience unlike anything else on Earth. Although the Portuguese were the first Europeans to sail into the bay, it was the French who first established a settlement in the area, logging Brazil wood along the coast. Rio is definitely a tale of two cities: the upper and middle classes reside in the Zona Sul, the lower class in the Zona Norte. Favelas cover steep hillsides on both sides of town - Rocinha, Brazil's largest favela, is in Sao Conrado, one of Rio's richest neighbourhoods. Most industry is in the Zona Norte, as is most of the pollution. The ocean beaches are in the Zona Sul.

Itacaré, a pretty town at the mouth of the river (rio) Contas and the Atlantic coast. A town wrapped in green, surrounded by beaches, set in abundant nature and occupied by happy people who always have time for one and another.

Senor Brady sums this episode up perfectly, “This is my favorite, going into a place where you’re really not supposed to be and thats uncharted. It’s really fun!” Come along as we take Delos 20 miles up a shallow river in the beautiful state of BAHIA, Brazil. The river of Marau was by the most rural place that we explored in the country, and we got a wonderful taste of village life. As always, Brasilian hospitality shines through as we make friends with the locals and they shows us the ins and outs of a pretty magical waterfall as well as open up there home to these salty gringos!
