City Description:
Maceió is the capital city of the state of Alagoas, on the east coast of Brazil. Its historic center is home to pastel-colored colonial houses, a 19th-century cathedral and the Théo Brandão Museum of Anthropology and Folklore, located in a renovated seafront mansion. Protected by an offshore reef, the coast is lined with white-sand beaches. Ponta Verde beach has a palm-lined promenade, beach kiosks and water sports.Local jangada fishing boats leave hotel-lined Pajuçara beach on snorkeling trips to natural pools on the reef. To the south, Praia do Francês beach has surfable waves. Beyond Jatiúca beach, the 'Coral Coast' continues north for many kilometers. The warehouses in the renovated port district of Jaraguá are renowned for their nightlife. The Mercado do Artesanato market focuses on regional craftwork. On the city's landward side, the Mundaú Lagoon has calm water, shrimp fishing communities and rustic waterfront bars.
Weather and Events:
Maceió is tropical, with warm to hot weather year-round and a rainy season Mar–Jul. Most people choose to visit during the hot, dry summer (Dec–Mar), with crowds peaking in Dec and around Carnaval (Feb/Mar), when there are colorful parades and street parties. Other events in the city are the Maceió Music Festival (Mar), showcasing big-name Brazilian acts, and the Festas Juninas (Jun), a major festival that marks the beginning of winter with costume parties and dancing.

Cachoeira da Fumaça, main attractions of the Chapada Diamantina and the biggest waterfall in Brazil.
#trekking #Brazil #Waterfall # tourism #national #park #travel
The Fumaça waterfall - Smoke Fallsis a Brazilian waterfall located between the municipalities of Lençóis and Palmeiras in the state of Bahia.
The waterfall is in the Chapada Diamantina, within the well-known Chapada Diamantina National Park and is 340 meters high, being the second largest in Brazil, smaller only than the El Dorado Waterfall in the Amazon.
The name refers to effect caused by the force of the wind, which prevents the water from reaching the base, forming a visual view as if it were smoke.
There are two ways to reach it: from above, walking 6 kilometers (3.7 mi) from the ecological base placed in the Vale do Capão, or from below, after a three-day trek starting from Lençoís.
This video shows the waterfall from the top, starting from the Capão Valley.
UNCHARTED Rivers of Brazil! Sailing Vessel Delos Ep.187
Senor Brady sums this episode up perfectly, “This is my favorite, going into a place where you’re really not supposed to be and thats uncharted. It’s really fun!” Come along as we take Delos 20 miles up a shallow river in the beautiful state of BAHIA, Brazil. The river of Marau was by the most rural place that we explored in the country, and we got a wonderful taste of village life. As always, Brasilian hospitality shines through as we make friends with the locals and they shows us the ins and outs of a pretty magical waterfall as well as open up there home to these salty gringos!

Part of Morro de Sao Paulo’s charm is its mix of upscale, new hotels and restaurants with older, shabbier pousadas and taverns. How to Start a Business in Brazil – 1st Steps
Do you want to travel, live abroad, experience cultures, learn a new language and make money doing it? Well we have figured out a great way to live the life of our dreams. We have created a video series giving firsthand information on how and why to invest in Brazil.
This video is intended for foreigners who want to do business in Brazil. This is an attempt to increase foreign direct investment into the Brazilian economy. We believe Brazil has so much potential and is a great adventure.
It is necessary to have a CPF and CNPJ to do any type of business in Brazil. The CPF is the personal tax identification number and the CNPJ is the business tax identification number. Both of these numbers are necessary to open bank accounts, lease property and any other type of financial transaction. Legal representation is required to open a business in Brazil. The law firm that you use will help you to put together a Contrato Social, which is similar to articles of incorporation in the United States. An Administrator is also required to start a business in Brazil. The Administrator will be given power of attorney to sign all legal documents and do all federal reporting for accounting purposes. The process of opening a business will take at least 4-6 months, possibly longer, so be patient. The company that helped us out with the entire process of starting a business in Brazil was Costagille, located in Rio de Janeiro. Video 109
