Our visit Rio De Janeiro travel guide documentary, before the Olympics of 2016, covers some of the top attractions including a food guide (best restaurants and street food), top museums and Rio at night. We also cover off-the-beaten-path activities you won't find in a typical Rio De Janeiro tourism brochure or Rio De Janeiro, Brasil city tour.
25 Things to do in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil Travel Guide and Top Attractions Transcript:
First up, we started with the city’s most iconic sight: Christ Redeemer. We boarded the train as soon as the station opened and made our way to the top of Corcovado Mountain. Sometimes the statue can be shielded by fog, but we lucked out with beautiful blue skies and panoramic views of the city as far as the eye could see.
For a bit of colour, we headed over to the Selaron Steps, which is a tiled staircase created by Chilean artist, Jorge Selarón. Initially Selaron would scavenge construction sites looking for tiles, but in later years as his work gained notoriety, travellers began donating tiles.
Since we chose to stay in the neighbourhood of Ipanema, we ended up spending quite a bit of time at Ipanema Beach. We noticed that this beach was really popular for beach football, volleyball, and surfing. And of course, what makes this beach so iconic are its two mountains, known as Dois Irmãos. If you come here on a clear day, you can catch a killer sunset.
No visit to Rio de Janeiro would be complete without heading up Sugarloaf Mountain, so when the skies finally cleared that’s exactly what we did. We paid for our tickets and boarded the cable car for a somewhat unnerving ride up. If you’re scared of heights, this probably isn’t the attraction for you, however, if you manage to make it to the top you get some really cool panoramic views of Rio.
Copacabana Beach is the most famed beach in all of Rio de Janeiro and if you were to visit on a weekend during the summer months you’d find that the place is packed beyond belief. We happened to be here in winter so things were a lot more relaxed, but that didn’t stop visitors from braving the waters.
We did a favela tour to Babilônia and Chapéu Mangueira. On our tour we saw lots of street art, learned about life inside a favela.
And that is a wrap! We hope this video will give you guys some ideas of things to do in Rio de Janeiro on your visit, and for those travellers who have already been there, feel free to add your suggestion of cool activities and attractions in the comments below.

Itacare Bahia Brazil
Itacaré is a town in the cocoa zone of the state of Bahia in Brazil, south of Salvador. It is located 70 km north of Ilhéus where the Rio de Contas, which comes from the Chapada Diamantina, meets the Atlantic Ocean. Itacaré has about 27,000 residents. Out of these, approximately 50% live in the rural interior. A mixture of races - Amerindian, black and white - can be seen in the features of the natives, called nação grapiúna, who Jorge Amado affectionately referred to as the captivating people of this land. was founded as a Portuguese colonial settlement, originally called São Jorge dos Ilhéus, in 1532. The town was a notorious hangout for Dutch and Portuguese pirates during the early colonial period and later became a hub for the cocoa planting and a port for whalers. It was officially given city status in 1881.
After a massive blight of Vassoura de Bruxa (Witch's broom) devastated the region's cocoa crops in the 1980s, Itacaré has depended mostly upon tourism. It is a popular destination for surfers, hikers and ecotourists. The town has a series of beautiful small cove type beaches and other picturesque beaches further along the coast. Itacaré is on the edge of a national park, one of the last large expanses of Atlantic rain forest left in Brazil.
The change from sleepy agrarian town to tourist hotspot has not been an easy one, however. Locals recently won a hard-fought campaign to stop land owners who wanted to charge for access to the beaches.
Access to one of the most pristine beaches, Prainha, has been blocked by a hotel/condominium development called Sao Jose Eco Resort. Both Prainha and Sao Jose beaches are now accessible by foot, free of charge.
Despite development in the area, it remains a hub of Bahian culture. Many tourists visit Itacaré to take part in the local Capoeira circles and eat traditional Brazilian food. The town is flooded with revelers during New Year's and Carnival.
Itacaré has been mentioned as one of the worlds top 10 best small towns
How to Start a Business in Brazil – 1st Steps
Do you want to travel, live abroad, experience cultures, learn a new language and make money doing it? Well we have figured out a great way to live the life of our dreams. We have created a video series giving firsthand information on how and why to invest in Brazil.
This video is intended for foreigners who want to do business in Brazil. This is an attempt to increase foreign direct investment into the Brazilian economy. We believe Brazil has so much potential and is a great adventure.
It is necessary to have a CPF and CNPJ to do any type of business in Brazil. The CPF is the personal tax identification number and the CNPJ is the business tax identification number. Both of these numbers are necessary to open bank accounts, lease property and any other type of financial transaction. Legal representation is required to open a business in Brazil. The law firm that you use will help you to put together a Contrato Social, which is similar to articles of incorporation in the United States. An Administrator is also required to start a business in Brazil. The Administrator will be given power of attorney to sign all legal documents and do all federal reporting for accounting purposes. The process of opening a business will take at least 4-6 months, possibly longer, so be patient. The company that helped us out with the entire process of starting a business in Brazil was Costagille, located in Rio de Janeiro. Video 109

LEGEP Mineração started its activities in 1974 in the city of Ametista do Sul, in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul, south of Brazil.
It was established when two brothers together, after facing a lot of difficulties, achieved their dreams and leveraged the business. As the years went by, the company started to get bigger, acquiring more partners, eventually being controlled by nine brothers. The engagement was so intense that soon more branches were opened in several Brazilian cities, such as Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo and Soledade-RS.
Nowadays LEGEP’s headquarter is located in Soledade-RS and the branch in Ametista do Sul no longer exists, but the São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro branches are both growing steadily.
The LEGEP group has a structure of about 20,000 square meters, generating hundreds of direct and indirect jobs.
It’s considered a reference in its sector, an area in which it stands out for its long-term experience exporting to several countries worldwide.
LEGEP is constantly improving, with a highly-skilled team dedicated to meeting the demands of the market.

I had quited my job and started the Mochilong Project, which always had been an item of my bucket list It was a 30 day backpacking trip, relying on my faithful travelling partner, my Longboard also known as Supertramp.
It is basically a How to travel without money guide showing how it's possible to spend a few bucks and travel a lot, based on Couchsurfing, social networks, hitchhiking and human kindness.
I met so many special people in such a short time, incredible places, I ate well a few days, and I obviously also went through some bad times! But it was the best experience of my life, by far!
