Ep. 508 Bowling Green's Caves, Cars, and Cold Brews - Tennessee Valley Uncharted
Erick learns how Bowling Green, Kentucky stands the test of time and offers adventure in all different forms! He kicks off this trip by stopping into Brew Holler Blue Supplies, where not only do they put their own spin on craft beers, but they provide the community with the tools they need to brew at home. The owner of the brewery joins Erick for dinner at Novo Dolce, a gastropub that works with other local entrepreneurs to serve unique and delicious cuisine. Erick then ventures out to Lost River Cave, and he learns during his underground boat tour that though the caves have been scarred by pollution, the right amount of care can lead to healing. Then he gets to zipline through the surrounding woods! Afterward, accompanied by his Lost River tour guide, Erick stops into Lost River Pizza to refuel after an exciting day. His next stop is Kentucky Lake, where he learns why fishing for Asian Carp is important for the ecosystem to thrive, and how management teams help keep the invasive species at bay. Last but certainly not least, Erick takes a look around the National Corvette Museum to learn about these iconic cars, and he even gets to zip around the track in one at the NCM Motorsports Park.

Foothills Parkway: Connecting the Missing Link
The 1.65-mile section of the Foothills Parkway known as the Missing Link is now connected! Located on a stretch of yet unopened road between Walland and Wears Valley, the Missing Link has been an obstacle for road crews since construction issues ceased the project in 1987. With the series of bridges now complete, crews are currently paving and installing barriers. The end of this work is scheduled for late 2018, adding 16 miles of completed parkway between Walland and Wears Valley. Watch this video for a brief history of the Foothills Parkway and some of the story behind how the Missing Link has been connected.

My Lower 48 States
As some of you know, when I rolled into Montana on June 29, 2016, with just over 84,000 miles on the odometer of my 2012 Street Glide, I was entering my 48th state on that bike. It was a dream that came to me after visiting New England and realizing that, in less than 2 years I had already riden to 27 different states. Little did I know how daunting of a task reaching the West coast would actually be. You may notice that New Jersey does not have a sign or any pics taken in it. Well, I did ride in it, and since it was part of that New England trip when I was running from rain and, the fact I lived there for 3 years, I did not see the need to capture a pic.
Why Waterfalls? Well, at first the thought was Waterfalls are usually around great roads for riding, so after riding some of those roads, I figured I'd check out a waterfall or 2. Well I became a big fan. Something that can bring such thunderous power can bring such serenity. There is nothing like standing in the mist of a waterfall, surrounded by the woods and catching a glimpse of a rainbow generated by a single ray of sun breaking though the trees.
What about the stadiums? Well, that started because I ride so late into the night I needed a place that would have a bunch of hotels as well as places to eat that would be open late in the middle of nowhere. College towns fit that to a tee. I decided I wanted to see these places that I only see on Saturdays from my sofa. So it began.
I've been asked what my favorite state to ride in is. The answer is Almost Heaven West Virginia followed by Arkansas. Funny 2 of the states most speak ill of I find to be the best to ride in. I have learned a lot about myself and this great country I feel blessed to have been born in. This was the hardest video to make as I had to exclude so many amazing photos and it still took 3 songs to cover it. All 84,000+ miles are filled with memories I hope My Highway has inspired you to pick yourself up and do some exploring of your own. And now it's time to plan my next adventure. Mr Breeze can't stay in one place too long.

Day-13 Cheyenne-Omaha.m4v
A time-lapse video of my drive from Cheyenne, WY to Omaha, NE (OK, technically I'm across the river in Council Bluffs, IA). Believe me, the 3+ minutes to watch this sure beats the 8 hours it actually took to make the drive. Don't blink or you might miss the amazing Plains Arch (or whatever it's called). I think the clouds are the best part. Driving east across time zones is also not nice!
