Join us for a tour of 6000 year old Sion Switzerland
Hop on our tour through Sion Switzerland, the capital of the Canton of Valais.
Even though this city has only about 30,000 citizens, it is rich with history. You wouldn’t believe us, but this town dates back to 6,500 years B.C. Even Julius Caesar wrote about it in his notes!
We will show you the Castle Church of Valeria, which holds one of the oldest playable organs in the world. There is so much to say about Sion, but we would like to remind you to stop for a minute and just absorb the magnificent landscapes around you. This is one of the destinations that should definitely find it's place on your travel bucket list

Luxury in Valais, Switzerland
Alpine chic is what you will get in the Valais region. I stayed in Crans-Montana and Zermatt, two swanky mountain towns that are perfect for luxury seekers and outdoor enthusiasts. With a focus on adventures, the style is upscale but active. Both hotels fit the part, with a ski chalet fee, styled with wooden timber, fireplaces and cozy Swiss ambiance. Food ranges from hearty local fare like cheesy raclette with potatoes to freshly picked produce, mushrooms and game. I spent an afternoon with a Michelin chef, enjoying food cooked in an outdoor oven, along with views of the rolling mountains. If you want to experience the luxurious side of Valais, see my tips in this video guide.

Switzerland (German: Schweiz, French: Suisse, Italian: Svizzera, Romansch: Svizra, Latin: Confoederatio Helvetica) is a landlocked country in Central Europe. It has borders with France to the west, Italy to the south, Austria and Liechtenstein to the east and Germany to the north.
The climate is temperate, but varies with altitude. Switzerland has cold, cloudy, rainy/snowy winters and cool to warm, cloudy, humid summers with occasional showers.
Switzerland is known for its mountains (Alps in south, Jura in northwest) but it also has a central plateau of rolling hills, plains, and large lakes. The highest point is Dufourspitze at 4,634 m while Lake Maggiore is only 195 m above sea level.
