The Derung people are an ethnic group. They form one of the 56 ethnic groups officially recognized by China. Their population of 6,000 is found in the Nujiang Lisu Autonomous Prefecture of Yunnan in the Derung Valley of Gongshan Derung and Nu Autonomous County. Another 600 can be found east of the Dulong valley, living in the mountains above the Nu River near the village of Binzhongluo in northern Gongshan Derung and Nu Autonomous County.

Sunrise at Xianggong mountain, Guilin / China - DJI Phantom 4

We walked up the steep steps to the terraces at Xianggong mountain at around 5 am. Bring a head lamp or use your smartphone's flashlight because the path is badly lit. There are a total of 5 terraces as you can see in the video. By the time we were on top, 2 of them were already packed with local photographers, videographers and drone pilots:) It was still quite dark when I set up my tripod for the Sony A7 and for the iphone, which shot a little timelapse over the time.
Because of 4 other drones around, I waited for quite a while to fly it because I was really scared of crashing into another drone. The DJI Inspire is huge by the way.
I hope you enjoy the video and if you are in Guilin, get up really early to see the sunrise at Xianggong mountain!
