Golf in Brazil
Brazil has excellent golf greens in its top travel destinations. Sao Paulo has dozens of golf clubs and greens. Rio de Janeiro - and its surroundings: Angra dos Reios, Buzios - has also world class golf. Iguassu Falls (in the inland south) and Manaus (at the heart of the Amazon) offer also top golf opportunities. And Bahia has some of the greatest greens of the nation in Trancoso, Costa do Sauipe or Comandatuba Island. There are around 100 clubs registered with the Brazilian Golf Federation, and 40 of them are located in the country's wealthiest state, São Paulo. Another 10 of the clubs are registered with the Rio de Janeiro Federation. The Brazilian Golf Federation (Confederação Brasileira de Golfe - CBG) and the WorldGolfDirectory.com have information on golf clubs and driving ranges throughout Brazil.
In Brazil, golf is a year-round sport. Although there is an official season which generally runs from February or March (depending upon Carnival) until November, this may vary from club to club. In São Paulo, the rainy season is December and January, with downpours almost every day in late afternoon or early evening.

Iberostar Bahia / Brazil - all inclusive Hotel & Resort HD
We spent our vacation how last year in one of the best club hotel chain in the world, Iberostar Bahia. Maybe for copyists we want to give a short overview in our small video. It was again the lowest category from the two connected hotels, Iberostar Praia do Forte and Bahia. The endless sandy beach, the clear seawater and the big pool areas in Iberostar Bahia are world class. Food & Drinks was delicious, personal very friendly and the animation o.k.. We found Silent corners around the second pool or on the long beach. Swimming was because of the high waves in the ocean mostly not allowed. The club is the perfect location for young families with children and nature lovers. Nightlive and restaurants find you in Praia do Forte BA., ca. 4 kilometers along the beach. Taxies and shuttle are available for transfair every time.

O clube é o local perfeito para famílias jovens com crianças e amantes da natureza. Nightlive e restaurantes você encontra na Praia do Forte BA., Ca. 4 km ao longo da praia. Os táxis e ônibus estão disponíveis para TransFair de cada vez.

Vielleicht für Kopisten wollen wir einen kurzen Überblick in unserem kleinen Video geben. Es war wieder die niedrigste Kategorie von den beiden angeschlossenen Hotels, Iberostar Praia do Forte und Bahia. Der Club ist der perfekte Ort für junge Familien mit Kindern und Naturliebhaber. Ausgehmöglichkeiten und Restaurants finden Sie in Praia do Forte BA., Ca. 4 Kilometer am Strand entlang. Designed by the duo of British architects Dave Thomas and Peter Allis, the golf course of FRAD.E has 18 holes with a total distance of 6,420 yards and a degree of difficulty that appeals to both professionals and beginners.
The 11th hole is located on the top of a 45 meter high hill that offers an amazing view of the course and the sea around Angra dos Reis. Another hole you cannot miss is the 8th, an uphill 148 yard - par 3, since the player´s ball must carry the ruins of a 19th century aqueduct – it is extremely beautiful, but you must be careful otherwise your ball may get stymied behind one of the old pillars.
Its location next to the rainforest provides unusual visits during the match, such as capybaras, armadillos, agoutis, deers and other local fauna. Streams with crystal clear water, waterfalls and ruins of an aqueduct complete this idyllic setting.

Video from my SUPERB 1 month trip to Brazil in October 2013:
I received an invitation from my friend Steve Bird to join him and Gina Nichol on one of his Pantanal trips so I did... a no brainer! - great fun birding with Steve and Gina and their groups is always guaranteed (enhanced with Eduardo Patrial as a suber guide and cool cara) and this was not the exception adding a LOAD of lifers for me plus the orgasmic Jaguar experience!
After 10 or so days in Pantanal, Chapada dos Guimaraes and Serra das Araras with the Zoothera lovely group, I did Atlantic Forest birding Intervales State Park for a week with Luiz one of the greatest guides and finest birders in the area for a week adding those badly wanted big antbirds plus a PLETHORA of Atlantic Forest endemics.
To end a great trip, I traveled with my Colombian mate Gustavo Bravo towards Resende where we meet and enjoyed our days with Luciano Lima (AKA Luciano Passarinho!) birding the highlands and lowlands of the Serra da Mantequeira mainly at Itatiaia National Park and also the Serra do Mar looking for really rare and hidding-jewel birds thanks to Luciano endless bird-knowledge of his region!... loads of fun, some beers and great birds again for a week!
550 species of birds recorded from which 285 were life-birds for me... what a marvelous fuck@#ng trip!!!
