The island is protected by the Reserva Natural Caja de Muertos natural reserve, because of its native turtle traffic. There are many waterfalls in the mountain ranges of Puerto Rico, but few can match the beauty of Chorro Doña Juana. Though it is not hard to find, few people ever visit it - and even fewer tourists have any idea it's there.

Doña Juana can be found off of PR-149, between Ciales and Juana Díaz Puerto Rico. The water is crystal clear and very cold, and people often jump into the pool to swim.
