Toro Negro State Forest is one of the 21 forests that make up the public forests system in Puerto Rico. It is also Puerto Rico's highest cloud forest. It is located in the Cordillera Central region of the island and covers 8,204 cuerdas , of mountains. Toro Negro's mountains have heights reaching up to 4,400 feet and include Cerro de Punta, Cerro Jayuya and Cerro Rosa, the three highest peaks in the island. Nested among these mountains is Lake Guineo, the island's highest lake. Luquillo is a municipality of Puerto Rico located in the northeast coast, northwest of Fajardo; and east of Rio Grande. Luquillo is spread over 5 wards and Luquillo Pueblo . It is part of the Fajardo Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city of Luquillo is 26 square miles and it sits on 12 miles of Atlantic coastline. It is nestled between the blue waters of the Atlantic and the El Yunque National Forest, a rainforest, giving it a diverse and unique ecology. Luquillo marks the beginning of the Northeast Ecological Corridor Nature Reserve which runs down the coast from Luquillo’s town square all the way down to the Seven Seas Beach in Fajardo. Caja de Muertos is an uninhabited island off the southern coast of Puerto Rico, in the municipality of Ponce. The island is protected by the Reserva Natural Caja de Muertos natural reserve, because of its native turtle traffic. Hikers and beachgoers are often seen in the island, which can be reached by ferry from the La Guancha Boardwalk sector of Ponce Playa. Together with Cardona, Ratones, Morrillito, Isla del Frio, Gatas, and Isla de Jueyes, Caja de Muertos is one of seven islands ascribed to the municipality of Ponce.

Rincon is a little piece of North America, which was something we did not expect! It is on my top places in PR just for the easy, go-with-the-flow vibes and the great food options! Maybe because it is home to many people from the states it was a feeling of home for me, but I also completely felt the PR vibes as well so I think it is a great mix of the cultures. I will definitely want to visit again and hope for higher waves next time!
I would recommend all the restaurants we ate at, as well as a the few I mentioned that we did not get to go to because the reviews were amazing!
Gastropark@115 was a place I did not mention but I wanted to badly for them to be open! So you might check that out as well!
It was so much fun to edit this and think back to our time in PR, how we miss it!!!
