TRIP REPORT - Brussels Airlines Economy Class flight to Brussels on an Airbus A319
AIRLINE TRIP REPORT ►Watch more of our Airline Trip Reports here:
This is a Flight Review (Trip Report) of our Brussels Airlines Economy Class flight from Copenhagen Airport (CPH) to Brussels Airport (BRU) onboard a Brussels Airlines Airbus A319. Our journey begins at the Copenhagen Airport Hilton Hotel where we are having breakfast as we have spent the night at the hotel in order to be able to catch our very early flight to Brussels. The footage then continues to Terminal 2 where we have just checked in for our flight. We then find ourselves in the Duty Free shopping area of the airport after passing security. We then proceed on to the restaurant Viewing Area of the airport (a tradition when we fly) before moving on to the Wing A gates from where our flight will be departing. The viewer then follows us on our walk down through wing A to our Gate where we get a view of our aircraft an Airbus A319-112 before boarding it. The viewer then gets some views of the cabin, taxiing, takeoff and landing. We did not receive any complimentary beverages or snacks on this flight, however there was an inflight food and drink menu available with a good selection of drinks and beverages available at reasonable prices (at least in our opinion).
The flight was a standard pleasant European short-haul flight with a friendly and professional crew. We would not have a problem flying with this airline again in the future, although if we had a choice to fly with an airline that offers a complimentary beverage, we would choose that one. We hope you enjoy flying with us.
The Brussels Airlines Airbus A319 (Airbus A319-112) we flew with had aircraft registration OO-SSN. This aircraft had her first flight in March 2003 and joined the Brussels Airlines fleet in June 2012. Prior to this the aircraft has also been operated by Air Canada, Skybus Airlines and Aerodynamics Inc (ADI).
This Brussels Airlines flight review footage is filmed at the Copenhagen Hilton (Airport), Copenhagen Airport, Brussels Airport concourse A (BRU) and inside a Brussels Airlines Airbus A319.

Brussels Airlines Airbus A319 - great wing and engine views! [AirClips full flight series]
The A319 is a shortened, minimum-change version of the A320. Also known as the A320M-7, it is 3.73 metres (12 ft 3 in) shorter than the A320; four frames fore of the wing and three frames aft of the wing were removed. The reduced seating allows the number of emergency exits to be reduced to six. With virtually the same fuel capacity as the A320-200, and fewer passengers, the range with 124 passengers in a two-class configuration extends to 6,650 km (3,590 nmi), or 6,850 km (3,700 nmi) with the Sharklets. Four propulsion options available on the A319 are the 23,040-pound-force (102.5 kN) V2522-A5 and 24,800-pound-force (110 kN) V2527M-A5 from IAE, or the 22,000-pound-force (98 kN) CFM56-5B/A and 27,000-pound-force (120 kN) CFM56-5B7. Although identical to those of the A320, these engines are derated because of the A319's lower MTOW. The A319 was developed at the request of Steven Udvar-Hazy, the former president and CEO of ILFC according to The New York Times. The A319's launch customer, in fact, was ILFC, which had placed an order for 6 A319s by 1993. Anticipating further orders by Swissair and Alitalia, Airbus decided to launch the programme on 10 June 1993. Final assembly of the first A319 began on 23 March 1995. The direct Boeing competitor is the 737-700.
