How To Save Your Team From Big Business
When KSK Beveren was merged with another local team in 2010, the fans felt like the club's identity was lost, they broke away, and YB SK Beveren was born, owned by the fans and supported by the community. This is one club that is doing things differently in Belgium.

URBAN NOMADS teaser
Promotional teaser for URBAN NOMADS
Are we free or are we expelled? Urban Nomads is a physical conversation between two women. It is a dialogue about being in transition, a constant leaving behind and (re)discovery; about being a nomad in a world where migrations mark you.
In Urban Nomads Serena Wuytack strikes up a physical dialogue with the forty year old Flamenco icon Sofia Yero. The distinct lines of the stormy Flamenco clash into, transform into the dynamic, organic language of movement which is contemporary dance. Continually moving, continually in transit. The chasm between these two dancers provides the context for an inspiring tension, but it is not a violent one.
Artist Frans Wuytack adds a visual dimension to the dialogue of Urban Nomads. He shapes the transitory universe of the dancers. The stage of the dance is his atelier. His sets are like the two women: continuously in transformation. Yet there are some scenographic images that defy time and mark the performance as a constant. The two women are repeatedly reminded of the question: What will I take? What will I leave behind? Sometimes they drag along things and sometimes these things carry them away. The constant urge to leave traces in the transience drives them further on their journey.
The music of Urban Nomads is created by guitarist Myrddin De Cauter, singer Antonio Paz, bass player Tomas De Smet, beatbox percussionist Roxorloops and sound designer Molar.

Standing in line, (Coope Boyes & Simpson), Bristol MAN Chorus, 7th July 2018, St Georges

Words/Music, Lester Simpson, (Coope, Boyes and Simpson)
This legendary vocal trio have done extraordinary work documenting and commemorating WW1, and our programme owes them a great debt. This song was inspired by Lester Simpson’s memories of his great aunt Annie, widowed in 1917. After her husband, Albert, was killed at the battle of Passchendaele, she lived alone in a house of ‘half-empty washing lines’.
Puttees and polish, a cigarette and a smile
A sepia soldier, no more than a child
You roared 'Tipperary' down to the train
But in Flanders the guns sang a different refrain
Standing in line, waiting to sign
Standing in line to go over
And a half-empty washing-line serves to remind
That you're fallen and always standing in line
Misinformation, a well-hidden lie
Roll up, try your luck on the coconut shy
White feathers or glory, while government hacks
Are busy newspapering over the cracks
Standing in line... etc
But only the swallows and your postcards came home
To the long summer days and the corn newly grown
As certain as Empire you marched off to war
Where fear-choked and rum-soaked, they taught you to plough
Standing in line... etc
You fought and you died in the mud and the rain
A mile into hell and a mile back again
A pawn in their game, not fallen but pushed
And a Portland stone bonnet forever
Standing in line... etc

Google directeur België Thierry Geerts in Tournée Digitale
20/10/2015 Filatuur Aalst
Case 1 : DMC Technics
Case 2 : De Vis Gunther
Volgende halte: Gent, Rec Radiocentrum Stalhof 6
Tournée Digitale wil ondernemers warm maken voor de groeikansen die digitalisering biedt. Op het programma staan workshops en handige tips, in samenwerking met ondernemersorganisaties VBO, VOKA en UNIZO.
Celtic Music: The Women of Ireland by Will Millar
Enjoy Celtic Music: Song The Women of Ireland performed by Will Millar. Jack, left his mother's womb and joined his siblings on the 10th of January, 2011. Eight weeks later he agreed, to his owners' amazement, to adopt both of them. Now at 7 months they're waiting to see if the Bic Razor he ate last night will pass. They were told by the animal hospital, dogs eat Bic Razors all the time. It's not that unusual. The owners do not remember reading that little tid-bit of information in the Should we get a dog? research.
My name is Matilda Lee Chase My Betty Bones. Pretty long name, huh? I was born on a cool summer day, mid June I think. I remember some of it quite well having been born after my six sisters, Cali, Athena, Blue, Josie, Chance and Bella. (My Family) Then my brother Jäger was born. He's big and eats too much.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. I should start by telling you about my parents Jack and Jennifer Rose. They came first. Then I'll talk about my store.
First, there is my dad, Jack F. Chase. (Jack) He was small at first like me. Now he's big and smart like my mother Jennifer Rose.
Dad was born on the 10th of January, 2011. Eight weeks later he agreed, to everyone's amazement, to adopt new parents for himself. I didn't know you could do that.
Dad says he likes to be around the water now. And that he remembers playing on frozen ponds and lakes when he was a pup. (Walking on Ice) My dad called himself a pup, that's funny.
Dad became a really good swimmer (Swimming) He spent his summers near the water. He really likes fish too. Dad says he saw his first fish when he was just 2 months old. That's a long time ago, he's old now.
Dad says fishing isn't as easy as some would think. Once he brought home a fish. He was wishing for seafood I guess. Of course there's no Long John's Silver or Red Lobster in our area, so off to the lake he went. (Fishing) You'd like my dad. Everybody does. I think it's because he's with my mother Jenny. I call her Jenny. Jenny is from out east. She's really pretty and likes my dad too. She also likes to chase dad around in circles. (My Mother)
I have six sisters and one brother. (My Sisters) My brother Jäger says Dudes Rule! But my sisters and I think he's really goofy. A couple of months ago we were playing together and Jäger tried to butt in. We had none of that that day. But we like him now. He's big like dad.
Now that Jäger and my sisters have new families, there's just a bunch of stuff laying around here that's not needed anymore. So I decided to sell some items. And I asked others if they wanted to sell some items too.
Most sites ask for high consignment fees or discount your items until they're almost given away. My online store, TilliesConsignments, only charges $1 after the item is sold, nothing else to fuss about. Let the other guys fight over pricing. Remember (Jäger) Girls Rule!

Jim Boyes, (Coope, Boyes and Simpson)
On contemplation of the famous war cemetery.
Tyne Cot at Night
A silver moon was in the sky,
And from the south a warm wind blew.
We thought we’d seen it all before,
But this was something new.
Just rows and rows of pale white stones,
Standing out in the morning dew.
And a wall inscribed with more homicide,
Than a lifetime’s friendship ever knew.
A monument to those who fell
Speaks still of duty nobly done.
And those who followed to their fates,
Followed the lie that first begun
When the wheels of history rolled into place
And the call went out to serve the gun,
Which relentlessly, without poetry,
Killed a generation of our sons.
And as we wander through the gloom,
What stories could these stones re-tell?
Each one a different former life,
Each one a different dying hell.
A Catholic spurned, an exile returned
And a General reduced to tears.
It’s their legacy that the truth should be,
Remembered now and down the years.
Only the truth can bring us peace,
And truth in time will free these souls.
And those who manufacture war
Will crawl, dejected, to their holes.
And for us it seems like far off dreams,
But here the seeds of peace are sown.
And, like a gardener, we must stand by,
To nurture them until they’re grown.
I want to go home Sung by infantry from the Boer war onwards.
I want to go home. I want to go home.
The whizz-bangs and shrapnel
They whistle and roar,
I don’t want to go on the top any more,
Take me over the sea,
Where the Alleymans can’t catch me.
Oh my! I don’t want to die.
I want to go home.
