Mangshi City , formerly named Luxi City , in some literatures is written as Mangshih, is a county-level city of Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, in the west of Yunnan province, People's Republic of China. It is the prefectural seat. Mangshi has an area of 2,900.91 km2 , with an urban area of 18.66 km2 . Han Chinese, Dai people Tai Nuea branch and Jingpo people Zaiwa branch are the major ethnic group. In the history, Mangshi was divided into 3 tusi territory. Luxi County was founded in 1949, and finally upgraded to a county-level city in 1996.

Puti Temple or Bodhi Temple is a Buddhist temple located in Mangshi of Dehong Dai and Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture, Yunnan, China. In Dai language, the temple is called Zangxiang, meaning Temple of Precious Stone. Covering an area of 3,125-square-metre , the temple was established in 1667. Because of war and natural disasters, the temple has been rebuilt numerous times in the past 300 years.
