On Tuesday, join the international crowd at the Zero Zero club in Gavea for a good vibe and great dance music.
Wednesday - Botafogo
Botafogo is the place to be in on Wednesday night as there’s a variety of bars to check out, and you can’t miss Karaoke night at Casa de Matriz!
Thursday - Baixo Gavea
University Students flood the streets of Baixo Gavea on Thursday night to enjoy some drinks and let off a little steam.
Friday - Lapa
The heart of Rio nightlife is in the downtown area of Lapa. You can pre-game in the streets and listen to all the great live music.
From there, head into one of the popular night clubs like Lapa 40 or Rio Scenarium.
And if you have the opportunity, you gotta experience a Monobloco concert at Fundição Progresso.
Saturday - Samba School
Sunday - Beach, Santa Teresa or Urca
And If you’re still alive on Sunday, you have a few options… You could go to the beach and relax, re-hydrate with a coconut water, and watch the sunset from Arpoador, maybe you’d prefer heading to Santa Teresa, eat a traditional Feijoada and watch the sunset from Hotel Santa Teresa, or you can go down to my favorite neighborhood in all of Rio, Urca, to drink a few beers with friends along the Marina and enjoy the views.
Whatever you decide, just make sure you get enough rest to do it all over again tomorrow.

Why Portugal declared as the Best Tourist Destination in the World?
Confirming a trend that has already been proven personally by thousands of Spanish travelers, Portugal has been chosen as the Best Tourist Destination in the World in the World Travel Awards (WTA), considered the Oscars of tourism. This is the first time in the almost 25-year history of this award that the more than 200,000 tourism professionals that form part of the WTA give such distinction to a European country. The neighboring country won the nominations of Brazil, the Maldives, the United States, Greece, Morocco, Vietnam and Spain in six categories, wiping out the awards that recognize excellence in the international tourism industry .
Destinations and tourism organizations also triumphed in five other categories, confirming the transformation of Portugal from a poor country in the corner of Europe to one of the new heavyweights in this sector. The capital, Lisbon , was chosen as the Best World Destination for City Breaks (urban getaways), with the organizers highlighting the singular beauty of the city and the excellent offer it offers in terms of short stays . Its connection to numerous European cities through low cost flights has made the Portuguese capital a favorite destination for travelers looking for weekend getaways , and this year they anticipate that almost seven million tourists will tour the picturesque streets of Bairro Alto. and Alfama , as well as architectural gems such as the Jerónimos Monastery.

Here is my top 7 Things to do in Santos Brazil
1) Visit the local BBQ restaurants. They have some of the best Steaks in the world and prepared to perfection.
2) Eat Black Beans with pork at a local open street restaurant. Got to try this. Very informal place, but you will love the atmosphere
3) You have to try the Caipirinha. Almost like a mojito, just better
4) Visit Saint Christopher's Church. After all, he is the Saint for travellers
5) Go Paragliding. Just go with a trusted local. The road to the top of the mountain can be dangerous.
6) Take a road trip to ITU and visit Varito Park
7) Last but not least. My favourite: Rent some Stand Up paddle boards and go for a paddle in the bay area or in the ocean.

Ouro Preto in Brazil - World Heritage Site by Unesco ( Full HD )
Ouro Preto (from Portuguese, Black Gold) is a city in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, a former colonial mining town located in the Serra do Espinhaço mountains and designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO because of its outstanding Baroque architecture.
Founded at the end of the 16th century, Ouro Preto (meaning Black Gold) was originally called Vila Rica, or rich village, the focal point of the gold rush and Brazil's golden age in the 18th century under Portuguese rule.
The city contains well-preserved Portuguese colonial architecture, with few signs of modern urban life. Modern construction must adhere to historical standards maintained by the city. 18th- and 19th-century churches decorated with gold and the sculptured works of Aleijadinho make Ouro Preto a prime tourist destination.
The tremendous wealth from gold mining in the 18th century created a city which attracted the intelligentsia of Europe. Philosophy and art flourished, and evidence of a baroque revival called the Barroco Mineiro is illustrated in architecture as well as by sculptors such as Aleijadinho, painters such as Mestre Athayde, composers such as Lobo de Mesquita, and poets such as Tomás António Gonzaga. At that time, Vila Rica was the largest city in Brazil, with 100,000 inhabitants.
In 1789, Ouro Preto became the birthplace of the Inconfidência Mineira, a failed attempt to gain independence from Portugal. The leading figure, Tiradentes, was hanged as a threat to any future revolutionaries.
In 1876, the Escola de Minas (Mines School) was created. This school established the technological foundation for several of the mineral discoveries in Brazil.
Ouro Preto was capital of Minas Gerais from 1720 until 1897, when the needs of government outgrew this town in the valley. The state government was moved to the new, planned city of Belo Horizonte.
Ouro Preto is also a university town with an intense student life. The Universidade Federal de Ouro Preto (Federal University of Ouro Preto or UFOP) has approximately 13,000 students. Many of them live in communal houses that are somewhat similar to fraternity houses as found in North American colleges. These communal or shared houses are called repúblicas, of which 66 belong to the university, called repúblicas federais, and 250 are privately owned (repúblicas particulares).
The repúblicas system of Ouro Preto in unique in Brazil. No other university city in the country has exactly the same characteristics of the student lodging found there. In many ways, the lodging is similar to that found in Portuguese universities such as the Coimbra and the tradition may have come from there. Before universities were founded in Brazil, Coimbra was where most of the rich students who could afford an overseas education went to. Each república has its own different history. There are repúblicas in which the freshmen, also known as bixos (misspelling of bichos, Portuguese for animals), have to undergo a hazing period, called batalha (battle), before being accepted permanently as residents of the houses. The final choice of the freshmen, called escolha, has to be unanimous among the senior students of the house.
The Museu Mineralógico Da Escola De Minas (Mineralogy Museum) can be of special interest to visitors. It belongs to the Mining School of the prestigious UFOP. The School opened its doors on 12 October 1823. The Museum is located at the Praça Tiradentes (No. 20), in the town's historical center, and contains a rich assortment of minerals on display, including precious and semi-precious gemstones and large crystals. Security is tight, however (for example, no cameras are allowed), due to the incalculable value of the gemstones and ores on display.

A região Sudeste do Brasil é a segunda menor região do país, sendo maior apenas que a região Sul. A área ocupada é de aproximadamente 924 620 km², 1/10 da superfície do Brasil. A região é composta por quatro estados: Espírito Santo, Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro e São Paulo. Ela limita-se ao norte e a nordeste com a Bahia; ao sul e a leste com o oceano Atlântico; a sudoeste com o Paraná; a oeste com Mato Grosso do Sul; a noroeste com Goiás e o Distrito Federal.
Ela é a região mais desenvolvida do país, responsável por 55,2% do PIB brasileiro. São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro e Minas Gerais lideram em termos de PIB Nominal. O relevo é bastante acidentado, com predominância de planaltos. O clima é tropical, entre temperado e quente, com grandes variações locais. Algumas áreas têm vegetação pobre e rasteira; outras são cobertas por florestas tropicais úmidas. A região é um verdadeiro centro dispersor de águas. Há várias bacias fluviais, com rios correndo em várias direções.
A região Sudeste começou a ser colonizada pelos portugueses no século XVI. A primeira vila, São Vicente, foi fundada em 1532. O desenvolvimento da região começou a partir da descoberta do ouro em Minas Gerais, no século XVIII. Em 1763, o Rio de Janeiro, por onde se escoava o ouro, passou a capital do Brasil até 1960. No início do século XX, a expansão da lavoura do café transformou São Paulo no maior centro econômico do Brasil.
A região Sudeste possui uma população de aproximadamente 85 milhões de habitantes, de forma que 44% da população brasileira mora no Sudeste (muito embora 1/3 dos habitantes, cerca de 28 milhões de pessoas, não nasceram na região). A região reúne os três primeiros estados do país em população: São Paulo, Minas Gerais e Rio de Janeiro. O Sudeste é a região mais densamente povoada do Brasil, atingindo a marca de 84,21 hab./km² em 2010 (enquanto a média brasileira, de 23,01 hab./km², é uma das mais baixas do mundo).
O Sudeste é a região mais populosa do Brasil e ocupa 10,85% do território brasileiro. Altamente urbanizada (90,5% da população vivem em zonas urbanas), a região abriga duas metrópoles globais, São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro. A região é também o maior colégio eleitoral do Brasil. A região Sudeste também apresenta índices sociais relativamente elevados: possui a segunda maior qualidade de vida do país, verificado por seu IDH de 0,753 e possuindo quinze dentre as vinte cidades melhores rankeadas, com destaque para São Caetano do Sul-SP (1º), Águas de São Pedro-SP (2º), Vitória-ES (4º) — segunda melhor entre todas as capitais —, Santos-SP (6º) e Niterói-RJ (7º).
Uma outra atividade econômica importante na região é o turismo. Nessa região, localizam-se vários dos pontos turísticos mais visitados do país. O Rio de Janeiro é mundialmente conhecido por suas belas praias e pelo carnaval, além de ser um grande centro cultural. São Paulo, conhecida internacionalmente, é o maior centro financeiro do Brasil e conta também com diversos centros culturais e de entretenimento. Em Minas Gerais, localizam-se as mais importantes cidades históricas do Brasil como: Ouro Preto, Tiradentes e Diamantina. O Espírito Santo atrai milhares de turistas todos os anos devido a suas praias e regiões de montanhas.
