Biwak-Traillauf vom 11.6. - 12.6.15 von Neuhaus nach Forchheim für den BOL5 = BOL5TL1 Bei diesem Lauf lief ich knapp 70 km von Neuhaus an der Pegnitz über den Veldensteiner Forst bis zu mir nachhause in Forchheim. Dabei biwakierte ich für einige Stunden mit Biwaksack im Wald. Mehr dazu:
Bacharach, Germany - Wernerkappelle ruins, hillside old city wall & various towers
In addition to the stunning views of Bacharach, Germany below, along with the sweeping Rhine River & Gorge, there are some great hillside views as well. Vineyards fill the landscape, that is also dotted with remnants of the old city wall, along with quite a few remaining wall towers. The gothic ruins of Wernerkapelle dominate the landscape (building began on it in 1287, and it was severely damaged & left to ruin in 1689). The protestant church St. Peter's also stands out to complete the views.
On the very top of the hill sits Stahleck Castle (Burg Stahleck) which is now a thriving hostel.
