Yash Chopra Statue in Switzerland

Indian film direcor Yash Chopra was named the ambassador of Interlaken in 2011. He died in 2012. His statue was installed in 2016 to commemorate his contribution to Swiss tourism through cinema.
It is because of Yash Chopra, Interlaken has become a popular tourist destination for Indians. He shot many of his movies here.
Me and my family enjoyed our stay in this beautiful Swiss town.

भारतीय फिल्म निर्देशक यश चोपड़ा को 2011 में इंटरलेकन के राजदूत घोषित किया गया था। 2012 में उनका निधन हो गया। 2016 में स्विस पर्यटन ने सिनेमा में उनके योगदान को याद रखने के लिए उनकी मूर्ति स्थापित की। यह कहा जा सकता है कि यश चोपड़ा की वजह से है इंटरलेकन भारतीयों के लिए एक लोकप्रिय पर्यटन स्थल बन गया है। उन्होंने यहां अपनी कई फिल्में शूट कीं। मुझे और मेरे परिवार को इस खूबसूरत स्विस शहर में रहने का मौका मिला। हमे काफी आनंद लिया।
