★ Nyon is a municipality in the district of Nyon in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland. It is located some 25 kilometers north east of Geneva's city centre, and since the 1970s it has become part of the Geneva metropolitan area. It lies on the shores of Lake Geneva and is the seat of the district of Nyon.
★ The town has (as of December 2016) a population of 20,272 and is famous in the sporting world as the headquarters for Nyon is famous for being the headquarters of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) and the European Club Association (ECA). As of 2008, 38% of the population are resident foreign nationals.
★ It is connected to the rest of Switzerland by way of the Route Suisse, the A1 Motorway and the railways of the Arc Lémanique.
Nyon is the starting station for the Chemin de Fer Nyon-St.Cergue-Morez, as well as being on the main Geneva to Lausanne Swiss Federal Railways line (SBB CFF FFS).▼

This is one of the highlights of my life's travels! It was my first time to actually touch and play with snow and it was such a privilege for me because it's on Top of Europe! This was such a dream come true for me!
Although getting a Jungfraujoch tour from a tour operator was expensive, it was really comfortable and we avoided long queues on buying the tickets for the train and queueing to get on the train. Seriously, they can be pretty long..
