A hike and a bike and two Martini's make three!!
Lovely two days exploring San Candido Italy. Highlight was hiking up 6500ft to Gantraste!
I chose the high road and hiked up to 6500 feet on a 4 hour hike and was all alone on top the mountain for 1 hour with a 360 degree view!!!! The cross was erected by most likely by the town and the stone cairn was erected by me and the beer was drunk by me as well as the martini too!
The Dolomite's are so beautiful! Everyone here speaks mostly German and some Italian and very little English...very cool and special place here among these jagged limestone spires...
Gregory chose the lower road and biked 30 miles from San Candido to Lienz, he got some great pics and even made friend with a Rooster along the way lol!!
