The town of Seiffen is located in the district of Erzgebirgskreis, which is in the central south of the Free State of Saxony in Germany. The earliest record of the town dates to 1324 when it was referred to as Cynsifen. Seiffen nestles in the heart of the Ore Mountains , which are famous for many Christmas traditions. As the silver and tin deposits declined, former miners had to look for new ways to feed their families. In addition to lace making and weaving, the local population turned to wood carving. The Elbe Sandstone Mountains, also called the Elbe sandstone highlands is a mountain range straddling the border between the state of Saxony in southeastern Germany and the North Bohemian region of the Czech Republic, with about three-quarters of the area lying on the German side. The mountains are also referred to as Saxon Switzerland and Bohemian Switzerland in both German and Czech or simply combined as Saxon-Bohemian Switzerland. In both countries, the mountain range has been declared a national park. The name derives from the sandstone which was carved by erosion. The river Elbe breaks through the mountain range in a steep and narrow valley.

Königstein Fortress , the Saxon Bastille, is a hilltop fortress near Dresden, in Saxon Switzerland, Germany, above the town of Königstein on the left bank of the River Elbe. It is one of the largest hilltop fortifications in Europe and sits atop the table hill of the same name. The 9.5 hectare rock plateau rises 240 metres above the Elbe and has over 50 buildings, some over 400 years old, that bear witness to the military and civilian life in the fortress. The rampart run of the fortress is 1,800 metres long with walls up to 42 metres high and steep sandstone faces. In the centre of the site is a 152.5 metre deep well, which is the deepest in Saxony and second deepest well in Europe. Castle Colditz is a Renaissance castle in the town of Colditz near Leipzig, Dresden and Chemnitz in the state of Saxony in Germany. The castle is between the towns of Hartha and Grimma on a hill spur over the river Zwickauer Mulde, a tributary of the River Elbe. It had the first wildlife park in Germany when, during 1523, the castle park was converted into one of the largest menageries in Europe. The castle gained international fame as the site of Oflag IV-C, a prisoner-of-war camp during World War II for incorrigible Allied officers who had repeatedly escaped from other camps.

Saxon Switzerland is a hilly climbing area and national park around the Elbe valley south-east of Dresden in Saxony, Germany. Motorcycle Trip Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic), Seiffen and Meissen (Porcelain factory museum).

I have heard many times that to travel with motorcycle is very expensive and it’s takes a lot of time and many more excuses. I made this trip and this video, to show you that to travel you don’t really need so much money and it could take just few days. Actually I have only one weekend. I have in total about 800km and spent less than 100 euro. I was able to visit two different countries. Three interesting towns, I eat in restaurants twice, I had a hotel, I also visit a museum and all of this cost me only 90 euro. I will agree that 90 euro is not so cheap, but I visited Karlovy Vary (Czech Republic), Seiffen (Germany) and Meissen (Porcelain factory museum Germany). I don’t know better and cheaper way to see so many things. Petrol – 40 euro, hotel – 20 euro, meals – 20 euro, museum – 10 euro - Total – 90 euro. Enjoy the trip with me!

The beginning of this video is shot in Luxembourg. The scenery was beautiful with the famous bridge and viaduct. This was on our way to Germany, where we visited family. The black forest is such a nice part of Germany, with all the clocks and dense forests. We traveled through La route des vins where famous wines are made. We couldn't believe the amount of wine yards around us, incredible. The villages around the Alsace area are so lovely. We also visited Strasbourg, and the weather was great. The last bit of the video is how asparagus is cultivated, covered with black tarps to avoid sunlight. This is a delicacy! Yum!
