Blackburn Lake Sanctuary is an example of regenerated and remnant bushland in suburban Melbourne, Australia. It is located in the suburb of Blackburn. In 1889 the Kooyongkoot Creek was dammed forming Blackburn Lake, at the centre of the sanctuary. Schwerkolt Cottage is a pioneer cottage built around 1880 at Mitcham, Victoria. This heritage site encompasses the original stone cottage, associated replicated outbuildings and a local history museum, surrounded by 2.25 hectares of gardens and bushland, and adjacent to Yarran Dheran bushland park. The stone cottage has been restored to its original condition and furnished in a style of the period and houses items curated by the Whitehorse Historical Society. The cottage is of an unusual design with three rooms opening onto a verandah with individual external doors but no doors between the rooms.There are communication hols between the rooms. This is believed to be a vernacular style from Schwerkolt's homeland.

Air pollution is just one of the many problems the earth is facing right now. It has been a major environmental risk that affects millions of people leading to numbers of fatalities and several diseases like stroke, heart disease, lung cancer, chronic and acute respiratory illnesses like asthma. The air we breathe is essential to our body as it needs enough supply of oxygen in order to maintain the healthiness of the organs and the systems of the body.
Some countries already developed several policies to reduce air pollution. But there are still numerous industries and other factors that contribute to the severity of the case mostly in the developing countries. The most harmful pollutant called the PM 2.5 is a tiny particle commonly found in soot, smoke and dust. This tiny pollutant causes chronic lung illnesses when it has penetrated the lungs.
The Particulate Matter (PM) is composed of sulfate, nitrates, ammonia, sodium chloride, black carbon, mineral dust and water. Usually, those with diameters less than 10 microns are already considered the most-harmful health damaging particles that can severely affect the lungs, according to the World Health Organization. However, there are other factors that cause serious health problems from air pollution aside from PM which includes the Ozone, nitrogen dioxide, and sulfur dioxide.
Clean air has become minimal and in demand nowadays. As people get sick every day, lives are also at stake due to these pollutants hovering the air. Although we tend to focus on the most polluted cities and countries in the world, here is the list of the top ten cities with the cleanest air in the world. The list was based according to the data released by the WHO with the lowest ozone, chronic and acute PM in the air. Whitehorse, like Dawson City, owes its existence to the Klondike gold-rush, which began in 1897. Having survived the arduous and sometimes deadly journey from Skagway over White Pass, gold prospectors had to negotiate the Miles Canyon and Whitehorse rapids before descending the Yukon River to Dawson's riches. From the first arrivals, a small settlement grew up on the river's right bank, opposite the present town. The seething, foaming waters of the rapids, rearing like white steeds, gave the settlement its name - Whitehorse (although nothing remains to be seen of the rapids).

Home to half the population of the Yukon, Whitehorse has grown into a major center for arts and culture in recent years. The small but lively territory capital is a hub of the north, standing at the intersection of the Alaska and Klondike Highways, only about 80 kilometers north of the provincial border with British Columbia.
