Located on a prominent bend on the Going-to-the-Sun Road, Siyeh Bend shuttle stop marks the transition point between the higher elevation sub-albine vegetation and the forest of the East Side. Two popular day hikes depart from this location, Piegan Pass and Siyeh Pass. Watch the video to learn more.
Siyeh Pass Trail, Glacier National Park
I took this video while hiking on the Siyeh Pass Trail in Glacier Nat'l Park in August, 2008. It was really windy, but the views down all three valleys along the pass are incredible.
Glacier National Park, Part 1: West Glacier to Logan Pass (Montana Office of Tourism)
Traveling the Going-to-the-Sun Road from West Glacier to Logan Pass is unforgettable. Your visual experiences will range from Lake McDonald Falls to Triple Arches and the Weeping Wall. The sight of mountain goats clinging to craggy peaks and grizzlies roaming their vast homeland leave you mesmerized. Every bend of this Road leads to another of seemingly limitless glory.

2016 Siyeh Pass
It was a gorgeous day for an enjoyable 17 km loop hike on Siyeh pass. This is where a major forest fire went through the year before and closed a good portion of Glacier National Park for some months.

Glacier National Park: Lunch Creek
Going-to-the-Sun Road - Point of Interest: Lunch Creek
Need a break on the Going-to-the-Sun Road? Why not stop by Lunch Creek, a historic resting point for visitors to the park. Just don't step on the wildflowers and plants, a careless step can make a huge impact on this fragile eco-system. Watch the video to learn more.

The Glacier National Park in Montana was certainly a great surprise. it's hiking paradise!

The Skyline Experience: Wynn, 9190, Cracker, and Siyeh Peaks in Glacier National Park
As we hiked it, The Skyline Experience is a twenty mile off-trail alpine route in Glacier National Park. It includes a 5.5 mile ridge walk that soars 4,000 feet above Cracker Lake and stretches from Mt. Wynn to Mt. Siyeh. We descended Mt. Siyeh via the West Couloir Route and headed back to Many Glacier Hotel (where we started) via the Piegan Pass Trail. It was more of a hike than we expected. Starting at about 7:30 am, we didn't exit the woods until midnight. Along the way we ran into grizzly bears, experienced dizzying heights, felt a great deal of pain, and entered a state somewhat beyond exhaustion. This video is a chronicle of our hike. If you should ever end up doing this hike, do let me know. I'd love to hear about your experience! Enjoy!

Glacier National Park (slideshow)
I've been working on this video for some time, to show off a bit of Glacier National Park in northern Montana. The pictures shown were taken by me and my wife, my brother and sister-in-law, and my Mom.
Glacier National Park is an amazing place to visit, and I highly recommend it. Beware The Going To the Sun Road; however, it's easy on the eyes but hard on the heart.
