Guernsy State Park, Guernsy WY
Primitive camping at hook-up prices...$17/night. But the view from my campsite was incredible so I stayed 2 nights.
I thought this was a fishing spot for locals et al...but there seemed to be more water and jet skiing going on than fishing.
Do they have crawfish is Wyoming? I bumped into something that looked lobsterish. lol. I still spent a lot of time in the water

ABOUT US
Welcome to Grand Adventure, a YouTube channel that focuses on RV-centric outdoor activities including not only of course camping, but also mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, skiing and more, nearly always filmed in stunning 4K.
We're based in Salt Lake City, Utah, and invite you to come along as we travel all around the western U.S. My wife Patricia and I, and our dogs Zoe and Maggie are avid boondockers, so you'll seldom find us in RV parks or even dry campgrounds. Instead, we're usually camped in some of the most remote and beautiful spots that you could ever pull a travel trailer into. And unlike most other RV channels on YouTube, we're not RV dealers or full-timers -- we're weekend warriors just like you!
We'll provide tips and insight on equipping and maintaining your RV, trip planning and travel videos to make your next adventure a grand one indeed! So, subscribe to make sure that you catch every episode, and remember...life is nothing but a Grand Adventure!

Lake Ridge Estates at Alcova Lake
24-hr PRE-RECORDED Info Call:
800-359-0823 & Enter Code 3166
Listed by Lisa Burridge & Assoc. Real Estate
Lake Ridge Estates is an exclusive gated community, overlooking Wyoming's Alcova Lake. Through meticulous planning, limiting density, each home site offers unparalleled views from every location while preserving the natural character of the area. A limited offering of only 665 prime acres, set amidst over 15,000 acres of protected recreational land, makes ownership at Lake Ridge Estates an exceptionally rare opportunity.
By finite design lots range from 7 to 17 acres, priced aggressively from $11,000 per acre. With year-round access and four distinct seasons, owners will enjoy a multitude of diverse recreational opportunities, all within incredibly close proximity to Alcova Lake, Pathfinder Reservoir, and the World Renown Grey Reef.
Reflected in the initial conceptualization and selection of location, Lake Ridge Estates offers unmatched flexibility through traditional or self-sufficient living, whether as a primary or secondary residence. With the optional incorporation of renewable resources and green building materials, owners capitalize on current federal tax benefits and incentives, while promoting environmental consciousness.
Coveted for its geographical limitation to further development, Lake Ridge Estates provides unprecedented access with unrivaled proximity to diverse activities and destinations. Uniquely nestled between two of Wyoming's largest bodies of water, Lake Ridge Estates offers unparalleled views of Alcova Lake, while Pathfinder Reservoir and the World Renown Grey Reef, hailed by American Angler Magazine as the #1 Big Fish Destination of the World, lie minutes from your door.
Surrounded by an expanse of protected recreational land, owners will enjoy private access to a multitude of activities including hiking, biking, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, and extraordinary wildlife observation. Alcova Lake, as featured in the Travelocity.com article, Get in on the Secret (Local Secrets, Big Finds), hosts a variety of guide shops and marinas offering sailing, water sports, boating, kayaking, guided tours, and rentals to accommodate true outdoor enthusiasts, while boasting one of the most diverse recreational standards offered anywhere in the state.
26 miles east of Lake Ridge Estates, Casper, WY provides regionally diverse infrastructure as Wyoming's largest city, while serving as the states economic and cultural hub. Residents of Lake Ridge Estates will enjoy shopping, dining, arts, events, festivals, museums, lodging, multiple golf courses(Robert Trent Jones Jr. designs), professional sports, an international airport, and private charter services, providing additional non-stop transportation.
Established Lake Ridge Estates residents enjoy no personal, corporate, or retirement state income tax, regardless of origin. As listed in Forbes Magazines 2009 11th Annual Ranking of the Best Places for Businesses and Careers. Casper was included in Only a handful of areas that have escaped falling employment... there are still some places out there that remain attractive to businesses. When things do turn around, expect many places ranked at the top to be at the head of the pack, notes Marisa Di Natale, an economist at Moodys Economy.com
Through architectural review, all stages of the building and design process are effectively evaluated to ensure aesthetic integrity and general landscape preservation. Integration of optional off grid, self-sustainable, or renewable technologies allow Lake Ridge Estates home owners maximum flexibility, through individual efforts towards environmental preservation, by virtue of utility independence.
Extensive independent hydrology reporting has identified three natural underground aquifers that will serve as the primary water supply for Lake Ridge Estates residents. Additionally, the optional incorporation of rain harvesting systems will further enhance an independent, self-sustainable, off grid lifestyle, while preserving the areas multiple redundant water supplies.
Based on confirmed federal and private research, the exceptionally viable location of Lake Ridge Estates enables residents to harness multiple renewable energy sources. Optional integration of low profile, aesthetically pleasing vertical axis wind turbines or photovoltaic solar panels, though first requiring architectural review, will generate renewable power and reduce or eliminate grid dependence.
Through an elaborate (triple redundant) network of primary underground power, residents may utilize traditional grid connectivity as a primary source, or secondarily as backup to renewable technology integrations. Any excess power generated may be rolled forward, eliminating monthly power bills, or sold back to the grid, creating potential annual income while reducing individual carbon footprints.
Hiking Around Devils Tower National Monument & Exploring Gillette Wyoming
On this Airstream Life vLog, we take a 2-hour drive from Buffalo to Devils Tower National Monument. This is the 1st National Monument in the USA. It is impressive to see in person. Why is it called Devi's Tower? It was a misinterpretation of the Native American name which was Bear's Tower (they heard Bad God's Tower). The legend has it two girls were running away from 2 giant bears. They got on top of a rock and prayed to the Creator to help them. The rock then raised up into the air with the two bears clawing at it trying to get up. This created the tower!
After seeing the tower and the prairie dog colony we head back to Gillette Wyoming where we have some delicious Mexican food for lunch and check out the town.
