Hot Springs State Park - FULL VIDEO TOUR (Thermopolis, Wyoming)
Full video tour of Hot Springs State Park in Thermopolis, Wyoming! Home of the alleged worlds largest hot spring!
Hot Springs State Park is a state-owned, public recreation area in Thermopolis, Wyoming, known for its hot springs, which flow at a constant temperature of 135° Fahrenheit. The state park offers free bathing at the State Bath House, where temperatures are moderated to a therapeutic 104°F.[2] The petroglyph site at Legend Rock, some 25 miles away, is also part of the park.[3]
The park features a managed herd of bison, a suspension foot bridge across the Big Horn River, picnic shelters, boat docks, flower gardens, and terraces made of naturally forming travertine (calcium carbonate) caused by a flowing mineral hot spring. The park encompasses commercial hotels and several state-run and privately operated entities including the Gottsche Rehabilitation Center, Hot Springs County Memorial Hospital, the historic Callaghan Apartments/Plaza Hotel, the Star Plunge waterpark, the Tepee Pools waterpark, and the Wyoming Pioneer Home, a state-run, assisted-living facility.

Unique Hot Springs at Thermopolis, Wyoming
Unique Hot Springs at Thermopolis, Wyoming
Thermopolis is Greek for Hot City. The “Hot Springs State Park” is home to the world’s largest mineral hot springs. It has numerous mineral-rich hot springs heated from deep within the earth. In 1896, the Shoshone and Arapaho Indian tribes signed a treaty allowing free public access to the hot springs.
Unfortunately, an unexplained dramatic decline in the flow of water feeding the springs has experts scratching their heads. The flow of 13 million gallons/day in 1896 is now down to 3.5 million gallons/day. I just hope the springs will continue to produce this spectacular scene for many years to come.

Awesome Natural Waterslide! - Sinks Canyon - Vlogging Wyoming 12
Why go to a waterpark when you can go to Sinks Canyon in Lander and slide down a waterslide made by mother nature herself? (Also, if anyone visiting Sinks Canyon happens to find a GoPro at the bottom of the Popo Agie River, let me know please?)
Just to clarify, there was a lot more water gushing down the rock than expected, and the water was extremely cold. Still made for an awesome thrill, even if you can't spend more than ten seconds in the water.

Thermopolis (Arapaho: Xonoú'oo' [6]) is the largest town in, and the county seat of Hot Springs County, Wyoming, United States
Thermopolis is from the Greek for Hot City. Is the largest town in, and the county seat of Hot Springs County, Wyoming, United States
It is home to numerous natural hot springs, in which mineral-laden waters are heated by geothermal processes. The town is named for the hot springs located there.
The town claims the world's largest mineral hot spring as part of Hot Springs State Park. The springs are open to the public for free as part of an 1896 treaty signed with the Shoshone and Arapaho Indian tribes.
Thermopolis is also the home of the Wyoming Dinosaur Center, which hosts the only Archaeopteryx fossil outside Europe.
