On 7,177 +/- deeded acres, the spectacular Paint Rock Canyon Ranch, with its sheer 1,000 foot rock walls and winding stream is about the best “back yard” one could ask for in a Wyoming ranch. It defies description and cameras cannot do it justice. It has to be experienced by all the senses. The ranch owns the lower two miles of the canyon itself. The ranch then widens out into an expansive valley in the area where the Medicine Lodge Creek comes in from the north. The Paint Rock Canyon Ranch controls the uppermost piece of private land in both the Medicine Lodge and Paint Rock Creek canyons, not to mention territorial water rights and extensive hay meadows in the open valley below the canyon mouth.
Both Medicine Lodge and Paint Rock Creek are large creeks which have huge springs flowing into them from the ranch’s deeded lands. These substantial spring creeks alone cry out for further development for recreational purposes. The ranch grazes on tens of thousands of acres of state, BLM, and deeded lands which lie adjacent to the canyon and in many cases these public lands are not accessible to the public as they are “landlocked” by private lands. This creates a 15,000 plus acre block of wildlife rich lands that are available to the ranch owner.
These pastures are well fenced and cross-fenced with extensive water development so that they can be utilized in the most efficient manner possible. These areas transition from the dry lower country up through the lusher areas which then adjoin the national forest and the ranch’s forest permit. The ranch’s extensive BLM permits are used for winter, spring and fall grazing and provide a transition going to or coming from the National Forest which is utilized during the summer grazing season.
The Paint Rock Canyon Ranch is one of the most unique properties to hit the market – it is truly not to be missed!
Best Roads to Drive - Wyoming Bighorn National Forest - YouTube
Which is the best road to drive? No such thing, there are to many choices, but one of the more amazing ones we have driven is in Wyoming, up through the 9,000 + foot elevation of the Bighorn National Forest. Lots of elevation change, corners, straight stretches and spectacular scenery.

BIGHORN MOUNTAIN RANCH - WYOMING
The Bighorn Mountain Ranch is an excellent piece of high country heaven with excellent views, wildlife and privacy. This 6,713 +/- acre mountain ranch consists of excellent cabins and lodges, rolling grass-covered hills and meadows that are cut by deep tree-covered canyons and game filled bluffs. The vast ranch is completely surrounded by BLM and National Forest lands of Bighorn Mountain Range, which typically gives public access into sensitive areas of ranches. However, this is not the case on this offering. In fact, the deeded land protects and controls most access to all of approximately 30,000 acres. With control of so many acres, this ranch definitely lives BIG!

Gooseberry Badlands (Painted Desert) Wyoming //\ Fulltime RV Family Living Coast 2 Coast
We tried to find The Painted Desert that was listed in a brochure for western Wyoming but there were no maps. The brochure said that it was 25 miles west of Worland and it said that some locals call it the Badlands.
So, we find the Gooseberry Badlands where The Painted Desert was supposed to be. It looked like the right place. It turns out that all the locals have always called it the Gooseberry Badlands. We looked up the GPS coordinated to place in this video and we discovered that Google Maps also calls it by Gooseberry Badlands.
Either way it is a beautiful place with amazing landscapes and rock formations.

REVIEW: Medicine Lodge Archaeological Site Campground //\ Fulltime RV Living Coast 2 Coast
The Medicine Lodge Campground is very secluded and beautiful. It is nestled into the entrance of a small canyon. There is a nearby archaeological site and has an area with petroglyphs on the rock wall. This campground is great place to disconnect from your normal everyday life.
The campground has a nice walking/biking/ATV trail up through the canyon and up the side of the mountain. Simply gorgeous views from this trail.
There is no wifi and no cell phone signals in the campground at all. You can walk or drive about a half mile outside the park to get cellular signals from Verizon and AT&T.
