Benidorm is a city and municipality in the province of Alicante in eastern Spain, on the Mediterranean coast. Benidorm has been a tourist destination within Spain since 1925, when its port was extended and the first hotels were built. However, the real boom of Benidorm as a coastal resort did not happen until the 1950s, when it became a famous summer destination for people coming from inland Spain, especially Madrid. Today it is known for its hotel industry, beaches and skyscrapers and receives as many or even slightly more foreign tourists as Spanish ones.     Gran Hotel Bali is a 4-star hotel located in Benidorm, province of Alicante, Spain. It is, at 186 metres high , the tallest building on Europe's Mediterranean coast. It was the tallest building in Spain surpassing Torre Picasso in 2001, until November 2006 when it was overtaken by Torre Espacio. The hotel opened on 17 May 2002. The hotel, which is actually a set of four buildings, was designed by architect Antonio Escario and has 776 rooms , 18 lifts, gardens and swimming pools. It is located in La Cala de Benidorm, close to the Mediterranean seaside .

    Intempo is a 47-floor, 192-metre-high skyscraper building in Benidorm, Spain. The design of the building was officially presented on 19 January 2006 and work began in 2007. Originally scheduled for completion in 2009, work was significantly hampered by the economic crisis of 2008 which seriously affected the real estate sector in Spain. Construction was completed in March 2014.The building is the tallest in Benidorm, and the fifth tallest in Spain.
