XCARET Eco Park Cruise Excursion in Cozumel, Mexico - Norwegian Breakaway
The first port on our NCL Breakaway 10-day Caribbean cruise out of New Orleans in December 2018 was Cozumel Mexico. This port offers loads of options for excursions. Last time we went to this port (in 2016 with the Norwegian Star) we rented a moped and drove around the island - it was awesome! This time, we decided to go to XCARET Eco Park, which costs $160 Canadian per person. It was TOTALLY worth it. We saved $50 per person since we chose shore excursion credits as our cruise promotion. This was the first cruise that we've taken that we chose to go with the cruise line for multiple excursions. All in all, we were happy with our choice.
XCARET is an eco theme park. As part of the tour, the cruise line provides transportation on a ferry to Playa Del Carmen. A word of warning, the ferry does cause motion sickness for a lot of people so bring non-drowsy gravol - I wish I had thought of that before leaving! After arriving back on land, a bus will drive you to XCARET. The most incredible thing XCARET offers is the underground river system. Unfortunately, since we don't have a waterproof camera we didn't get any footage of this attraction while we were doing it, but we got some from above. It is not to be missed. Other attractions included beaches, bars and restaurants, animal sanctuaries, Mayan ruins, and botanical gardens. We were very excited to see the turtles and the stingrays! We also loved that the dolphins have a very nice, large habitat. We were even lucky enough to see babies swimming with their mom's! We also very much enjoyed the bird and butterfly pavilions. Check out some of our favourite moments from these attractions.
We only had a few ours to see as much of XCARET as we could - and we saw a lot - but we left wanting to return. We'd definitely recommend this excursion, or visiting XCARET as a resort tour or just visiting the resort itself. It's an exciting, high-energy place with things to do for everyone. The XCARET tour with NCL lasts for 7.5 hours - so needless to say we were excited to get back to the boat when we were done!

How not to visit MAINE: Portland, Bar Harbor, and not enough time - Traveling Robert
Lessons learned about how not to visit a large state like Maine. First we didn't allocate nearly enough time. Second, it was foggy when we went to see the first sunrise in the USA. Third, campground screwed up our reservation. At that point I gave up and decided to go back some other time. Lobster breakfast in Bar Harbor was great.

Canadian Rocky Mountains Vacation Travel Video Guide
Travel video about destination Canadian Rocky Mountains in Canada.
The most spectacular sights in the Canadian Rocky Mountains are to be found mainly in its Northern region. Over the course of millions of years it was here that a unique and fascinating world of stone developed, abundant with natural beauty and awesome power. From the top of these mountains there’s a breathtaking panorama of surrounding peaks, glaciers and never ending valleys of stone. With unfettered power and in a wild cascade the freezing molten ice of the glacier runs through narrow gorges until it finally reaches the valleys below. Even the most massive of these ancient rocks was unable to prevent the relentless journey of the molten ice. The rivers pass beautiful dark forests that contain an immense variety of wildlife. The sparkling splendour of the Columbia Icefields covers an area of three hundred square kilometres and dates back to the last Ice Age and in some areas the ice is up to six hundred metres thick. The incredible power of various past landslides is evident along the shorelines of a number of mountain lakes including uprooted trees, wooden skeletons crushed by heavy masses of scree. In the course of time various of the trees became petrified and have thus been preserved forever. The beauty of the Rocky Mountains is a veritable wonder of nature and one of the last natural paradises on Earth.

Backcountry Landscape Photography in Canada
There's nothing like getting into the backcountry of Canada for some landscape photography! Today, I'm in Yoho, BC.
My Instagram:
My Camera Gear:
Landscape photography is special in the right situation. But, it's even better when you can get into the backcountry and right into the wilderness. That's what goes down on today's vlog.
I'm in Yoho National Park, Canada where there are a lot of photo opportunities. However, with high snow still in the backcountry right now, it's certainly not easy. I did, though, manage to make a couple images I really like today.
It's good to be back to photography in Canada, and there will be another episode from here on Tuesday.
