    Björknäshallen, is an indoor arena in Boden, Sweden. It was completed in 1965 and has now a capacity of 4,100 spectators, of which approximately 900 are seated. It is the home arena of the Bodens HF ice hockey team. It used to have a capacity of 5,000, but that was with only 228 seated. The attendance record before the increase in seats is 5,111 in 1969 when Bodens BK defeated IFK Luleå 8-5, and after the increase 4,500 when Bodens IK thrashed AIK 6-2 .

It is the best preserved example of a type of town that was once widespread throughout northern Scandinavia. As Church Village of Gammelstad, Luleå, it was listed as a World Heritage Site in 1996. The town is located about 10 kilometers upstream the Lule River. At its centre is the 15th-century Nederluleå Church surrounded by 424 wood-built houses.     Storforsen, a rapid in the Pite River in Swedish Norrbottens län is located approximately 38 km northwest of Älvsbyn. With an average flow of 250 m3/s, the rapids are one of the biggest in Europe. The rapids stretch over a distance of 5 km in which it drops 82 meters 60 of which are a single waterfall. Flow usually is highest at midsummer: 870 m3/s. During the floodyear 1995 a volume of 1200 cubic metres flowed down Storforsen each second. To prevent accidents the rocks surrounding the rapids are fenced, views being readily accessible to the public via ramps. While the rapids were used in previous years to transport logs, today its surroundings are part of a nature park, visited by 150,000 people each year.
