Bruce is a village in Rusk County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 779 at the 2010 census. The village was founded in 1884 by the Sault Ste. Marie Land and Improvement Company. The land company was incorporated and led by the principal officers of the Minneapolis, Sault Ste. Marie and Atlantic Railway, which operated its ceremonial first train over its line to Bruce in November 1884. It was named for Alanson C. Bruce who operated a logging camp in the area.

Copper Falls State Park is a 3,068-acre state park in Wisconsin. The park contains a section of the Bad River and its tributary the Tylers Forks, which flow through a gorge and drop over several waterfalls. Old Copper Culture Indians and later European settlers mined copper in the area. The state park was created in 1929 and amenities were developed by the Civilian Conservation Corps and the Works Progress Administration. In 2005 the park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a site with 10 contributing properties.

Willow River State Park is a 2,891-acre Wisconsin state park located five miles north of Hudson. The centerpiece of the park is Willow Falls, a powerful cascade in a 200-foot deep gorge. Another popular feature is Little Falls Lake, a shallow reservoir on the Willow River. Because of its proximity to Minneapolis-St. Paul it is one of the most visited state parks in Wisconsin. Trilobite fossils found in the lower layers of the gorge indicate the rock is around 600 million years old.

Crystal Cave is a cave located in Wisconsin’s Pierce County, near the Town of Spring Valley on Highway 29. The cave was discovered in 1881 by local brothers George and William Vanasse. Crystal Cave is a multi-level solutional cave formed in dolomite bedrock in the Prairie du Chien group. The dolomite was formed 485 million years ago during the Lower Ordovician Period when a warm shallow ocean covered much of Minnesota and Wisconsin. It is Wisconsin’s longest known cave.

Why would they do that? Also Sacramento wants to host the NBA All Star Game in 2022 or 2023 and they need a ton of hotel rooms to handle the crowds. The solution? Why not charter a few big cruise ships, park them near downtown and voila! Tons of full service hotel rooms for the week of the game and then the ships go away!

Cross Country Trip - Cheyenne to North Platte, Nebraska

In June 2015 we took a 2 week road trip from Utah to the East Coast. I used my 2012 Chevrolet Sonic LT which performed without a hitch, over 5900 miles. We visited Chicago, Niagara, Boston, New York, Phildelphia, Washington DC and many places in between. I captured a large amount of footage from a dash mounted Sony Action Cam, model HDR-AS100V. This part is from the Cheyenne, wy to North Platte, Nebraska with a stop at Buffalo Bill Ranch State Historical Park . I will be posting additional videos of this trip as I get them edited.

Travelling with Bruce is Live! Carnival Horizon Engine Problems The Carnival Horizon cruise ship is heading to it's home port of New York after suffering an engine issue in Amber Cove Dominican Republic. The ship is travelling at a reduced speed and has already picked up an engine specialist in Grand Turk. It is expected to return to New York on Thurday the day after tomorrow on time so the 4000 passengers can make their flight connections home. The cause of the problem has not been revealed.
