The Sacro Bosco , colloquially called Park of the Monsters , also named Garden of Bomarzo, is a Manieristic monumental complex located in Bomarzo, in the province of Viterbo, in northern Lazio, Italy.The garden was created during the 16th century. The Cascata delle Marmore is a man-made waterfall created by the ancient Romans. Its total height is 165 m , making it the tallest man-made waterfall in the world. Of its 3 sections, the top one is the tallest, at 83 m . It is located 7.7 km from Terni, a provincial capital of the Italian region of Umbria. Its source is a portion of the waters of the river Velino , after flowing through Piediluco lake near the community of Marmore. It pours into the valley below formed by the river Nera. Its flow is turned on and off according to a published schedule, to satisfy the needs of tourists and the power company alike. Tourists try to be there the moment the gates are opened to see the powerful rush of water.

The Tarot Garden is a sculpture garden based on the esoteric tarot, created by the French artist Niki de Saint Phalle in Pescia Fiorentina, località Garavicchio, in the municipality of Capalbio, province of Grosseto, Tuscany, Italy. L'ultima puntata del 2017 ci porta alla scoperta di Argenta (Ferrara). Il Comune, conosciuto per il suo vasto territorio, ha avuto nella sua storia dei momenti felici ma anche dei momenti tristi, però è sempre ripartito con la grande forza di volontà dei suoi abitanti. Nel corso del programma visiteremo le chiese del borgo capoluogo, l'antica Pieve di San Giorgio, il Santuario della Beata Vergine della Celletta, l'Ecomuseo di Argenta con tutte le sue sezioni, e non mancheranno altre curiosità. Inoltre nella collegiata di San Nicolò approfondiremo la conoscenza di un martire come Don Giovanni Minzoni a cui la cittadinanza è molto devota. Poi percorreremo le Vie dei Presepi, gli itinerari delle Valli, ed in un agriturismo del luogo scopriremo i piatti tradizionali e le tante tipicità del territorio.

La Caldara di Manziana vista dal cielo con il Drone..

Con l'ausilio del Drone Mavic Pro Platinum, andiamo alla scoperta di questo fantastico luogo.. Situato poco più a sud del Bosco di Macchia grande, Il monumento naturale della Caldara di Manziana.
Luogo straordinario tra magia e mistero, surreale e carico di energie positive.
Ogni qualvolta ci si immerge, si creano sempre le condizioni per una grande avventura.
Nella parte centrale della Caldara, a testimonianza dei fenomeni post-vulcanici è presente una conca dove si può assistere ad esplosioni freatiche di acque sulfuree. L’origine di questo geyser è dovuta alla vaporizzazione delle acque meteoriche che nel sottosuolo vengono a contatto con il magma ancora incandescente.
La denominazione Caldara deriva infatti dalla somiglianza con un pentolone di acqua bollente, ovvero calderone.
Nella parte più esterna del bordo del cratere su un terreno argilloso è presente un boschetto di betulle bianche (Betula pendula).
La presenza di questa specie, tipica dei territori nordici con clima freddo, risulta assai particolare a queste latitudini ed a soli 250 m di altitudine. Questo boschetto mi trasmette tanta energia e ispirazione al punto da dedicargli alcune mie opere pittoriche.

In the central part of the Caldara, as evidence of post-volcanic phenomena, there is a basin where you can see the explosions of sulphurous water. The origin of this geyser is due to the vaporization of the meteoric waters that in the subsoil come into contact with the still incandescent magma.
The name Caldara derives from the similarity with a pot of boiling water, or cauldron.
In the outermost part of the edge of the crater on a clayey soil there is a grove of white birches (Betula pendula).
The presence of this species, typical of the northern territories with cold climate, is very particular in these latitudes and only 250 m above sea level. This grove gives me so much energy and inspiration to the point to dedicate some of my paintings.

LA CASCATA DELLE MARMORE - Umbria - HD

La Cascata delle Marmore nei pressi di Terni , in Umbria , con la considerevole altezza di 165 metri, è la più grande cascata, realizzata dall'uomo, del mondo, ma anche quella più antica. Infatti venne creata nel 271 a.C. dagli antichi romani quando deviarono lo stagnate fiume Velino, facendolo confluire nel fiume Nera.

Un percorso a pagamento lungo le cascate permette ai visitatori di camminare fino alla cima del salto. Lungo la strada, c'è un tunnel che conduce ad un osservatorio proprio accanto alle cascate, dove di certo ci si bagna abbondantemente.

Le cascate sono utilizzate per la produzione di energia elettrica, e vengono attivate solamente per alcune ore al giorno, mattino e pomeriggio nei giorni festivi e nei periodi di vacanze. In estate anche in notturna!

The Marmora falls near Terni, in Umbria, with the considerable height of 165 meters, is the largest waterfall, made by man, the world, but also the oldest. It was created in 271 BC by the ancient Romans when they diverted the river Velino tin, causing it to flow into the Black River.

A path pay down waterfalls. allows visitors to walk to the top of the jump. Along the way, there is a tunnel that leads to an observatory right next to the falls, where certainly you bathe thoroughly.

The waterfalls are used for the production of electricity, and are activated only for a few hours a day, morning and afternoon on public holidays and holiday periods. In the summer, even at night!

Vetriolo Terme (1.500) è una piccola frazione non lontana da Levico Terme; a pochi minuti d’auto da Vetriolo si raggiunge la cima Panarotta (2.002) porta occidentale del Lagorai, che ti accoglie con le sue valli, le montagne, i laghetti alpini, le baite, la natura. E’ possibile camminare per chilometri grazie alle numerose passeggiate ed ai sentieri per il trekking che vi condurranno in alta quota.
